Met a guy recently who had tens of thousands of dollars worth of signed Vol memorabilia... mainly collector's cards. The pic in your avi was a card with Doug's signature.

I remember the '85 Bears, and older players and media guys talking about who from the '63 NFL champ Bears could play in the 1985 NFL. There were discussions about several of the players, but no one thought there was any point to a discussion about Doug, since no one had any doubt regarding him. He was a special player.

Update following this weekend:

Going to come down to pressure from friends and family wanting him at USC vs Tennessee.

What I concluded from a convo today is that this weekend at USC put them as a slight leader. All things equal he would be at Tennessee it appears, but he's in SoCal as are his closest friends and family, and that is something really hard to ignore.

Hopefully the coaches put on the full court press to wrap this up.
