'18 CA CB Olaijah Griffin (USC signee)

ya know, id love to have these kids as Vols but, we've got lot of instate talent in '19. it aint the end of the world.

All the poster with BVS in here fail to realize who we are is doing the recruiting. It’s all the same guys we used to accuse of cheating over the years to get highly ranked recruits. Well, now they will cheat for us.

Good. It was kind of disappointing to hear that the football program had 0 infractions. You don't want your program risking a death penalty, but at least push the envelope where you catch a couple of secondary violations trying to rub up against the line. Probably why Butch had to resort to 'diamonds in the rough' his last 2 recruiting classes.

West coast was always going to be too much

“Tennessee-USC battle, with the Vols’ optimism waning late in the week”

I may be ignorant here, but I’m not buying it completely. I don’t feel that Hubbs has a good feel for the recruitment and he’s going off how he feels personally. JMO...

Uh, no.
Hubbs veils his comments, but this pretty much means all signs point to USC.

How does Hubbs know. Does the coaches tell him directly that their optimism is waning or does he just judge their level of optimism based on talks with them?

Tyrone knows. Don’t ask how the sausage is made (my understanding is that NCAA rules take a backseat to “journalists protecting sources”), but you’re on the right track.

I'm not sure we land griffin. In fact I think he goes to USC but Hubbs isn't that dialed in with this new staff it seems. I'm sure he still knows quite a bit but not as tuned in as usual.

it's a hedged bet. i mean if any of us were asked to put money on it, the majority would probably bet on USC for all the obvious reasons.

doesn't mean that TN isn't still a legit possibility.

we'll find out.

I have no clue how NSD will finish but Gregg Biggins 247 west coast analyst is saying Griffin is torn between USC and UA currently. So who knows at this point.

This is what Biggins said.

With Bama, Griffin likes how well the DBs are developed and how hands on Saban is with the position, the strength program and feels that's his best and quickest path to the NFL. "No one gets DBs and especially corners to the League better then Bama and that's what OG is looking for."
