So...next year...Dormady, JG, Jones, McBride, Penix AND Martinez? Whoa....I think Jones may end up transferring again and Penix may not stay a QB. But that is some SERIOUSLY awesome depth at QB.

Dooley nor Kiffin had good QB depth. That's one thing I'll give Butch credit for. He'll bring in talented QBs. Dormady, Jones, Penix, McBride, Martinez...

I havent watched any film. But who is better martinez or penix? And does penix leave look around now?

Martinez looks like a more polished passer. Ball just flies off his hand with ease. Looks like he could sit in the pocket and pick a defense apart, but also has a number of big runs in his highlights. Looks like one hell of a prospect.

Penix loos like an athlete learning how to play QB. His statistics from sophomore to junior year are night and day. And I think he played receiver for a bit of his sophomore year. Lefty and has kind of an odd delivery, but has a cannon for an arm and very good accuracy. I actually think he's a candidate to RS and with more coaching, can become a stud.

Both have a lot of potential, but as of right now I'd imagine Martinez might be ahead of Penix.

Penix has made big strides the last year and will continue to get better and better. Martinez is the better QB currently and will get better as well. Martinez has the higher upside, IMO.

Don't think Penix will decommit though. Staff told him we were taking 2 QBs this cycle so he knew this would happen.

I need this boom in my life.

If he makes the switch I could see Harris and Litaker following suit soon.

We could be up in the top 5 pretty quick.

Having a top 5 class going into the season will be huge for Butch's job security throughout the year in my opinion.

Even if we go 8-4 or something it shows he has a healthy program that hasn't "peaked" at least IMO.

I have family that lives in Clovis. I doubt they follow HS football but I think I am an insider now. Don't tell ACVol.

A little difficult to blame Kiffins QB depth on Kiffin. Would be like blaming the 2014 Oline on CBJ.
