I will say though, part of me is kind of glad we won't be the butt of endless jokes by having a QB named Penix. That really is an unfortunate name. That said, I hope he goes to FSU and whoops Clemson's ass four times.

Sounds like Helton has indicated to both that he's looking for more of a pocket passer guy. Not sure. Martinez's were already looking around. I think Penix was blindsided today for sure.

If that’s the case I don’t know why your not going after Matt Corral

He’s a beast pocket passer who can also run it well

And at the moment it’s looking like his pops isn’t crazy about him in Mullen’s offense he might actually flip to the dumpster fire that is ole miss with sanctions and all lol I guess he wants to see his kid throwing it 40 times a game over anything else

Didn’t Helton already pass on him at USC because of some character concerns?

Maybe idk I think he got in a fight in hs before transferring to Long Beach Poly

But that’s pretty minor if you ask me kids an elite talent

But yea he did decommit from USC

I remember USC fans saying that he showed up to their camps intoxicated. First time they let him off with a warning. Then he did it again and they pulled his scholarship. Not sure if that’s true but that’s what their fans said.

Good Luck to Michael, he seems like a good kid. I really liked his film. Raw but very talented for sure. A redshirt year and good coaching will do wonders for him. :good!:

Their fans are probably as accurate as ours...i.e. not a t all.

The part I don't like about this is a few days ago you tell him he's wanted and then a couple days later you tell him to look around. BTW, he's a Cookeville, TN kid (both parents were athletes at TN Tech).

I think he'll be fine but this kid really wanted to play in Knoxville....

Saw Indiana’s coach used to coach at the school Penix practiced at, maybe they have some sort of relationship already.

He beat up Gretzky's kid over a girl .. that prompted the transfer
