'18 GA CB Jaycee Horn

Have feeling Tennessee will lead for Horn, or become neck and neck with USCe and Bama after he attends orange carpet day .

That's a big probably.

Bentley outplayed Dobbs.

That's not how you measure a qb, though. One game? He certainly didn't outplay him for the season. Lot of youngsters bust out quickly only to get humbled, I'm sure many here watched Johnny footballs replacement look like an all American before losing his job. Bentley did a nice job extending some plays and Dobbs was atrocious dealing with a team cancer trying to rip the squad apart. If Hurd just doesn't come back for the season, I imagine we win that game. But, Barnett just missed a few sacks, our 3rd down d was abysmal early and we played as if we could "turn it on" whenever we wanted, but unlike v Fla and TXAM, we didn't have that next gear in Columbia. A complacent 15 point favorite just didn't come to play, that's on Butch and Dobbs, but it was just one game.

Just one game? What about the 2nd half @ Vandy?

You mentioned a game, I simply noted that it was just one game. Bentley threw for about 160 yards, he wasn't some super hero. A decent chunk and TD came on a play you could have made as they picked on Warrior. Bentley was ok, he extended some plays and didn't turn it over, but he wasn't that much better than Dobbs at his worst. You want to talk about ugly football, check out your boys stats v Clemson. He was abysmal v florida, but he was infinitely worse against Clemson. Our D made him look decent. I don't think he managed 50 yards v Clemson. Clemson got lit up several times, that defense wasn't special this year. Dobbs had some bad moments but he was better v Bama as a freshman than Bentley was v Clemson or Fla. Dobbs lit Florida up a couple times, not an easy thing to do. I'm sure Dobbs would have put up 60 on us, on his worst day, with SCs roster.

Can't believe this is even an argument… Even Peyton Manning had bad games. Bentley may end up being great, but there is no comparison at this point in time.

Josh Dobbs was also up until 2 am on multiple days during the week leading up to the SC game working on a big project. He and the coaches probably should've discussed that fact and adjusted the game plan a little. Of course, when your 5* RB quits on you halfway through the game, that might be where the game plan issues came into play. That game is not on Dobbs. If it is on anybody, it is on Hurd and his quitting ***.

Yeah his 1 yard runs into the pile or stretched out to the line of scrimmage would have dominated SC.

He was running hard earlier in the year. That hit in the UGA game had to have knocked some wires loose or something. He was unhappy and made sure everyone knew it. It affected the teams attitude. His on the field play may not have benefitted us, but his attitude certainly did. When one of your star players is pitching a fit on the sideline, it changes the way the rest of the players feel too.
