I know Saban run's a 3-4 defense, but has Pruitt always ran that style too? I was not sure what he ran at Florida State etc.

Ran a 4-3 multiple in his lone season in Tallahassee. 3-4 at every other stop. Thing is, I think our personnel is better suited to the 3-4 PRESENTLY. Many of our stalwarts in this weak 4-2-5 were heavily recruited by Pruitt.

If we can get this kid and pair him with Greg Emerson, then we have our starting 3-4 DEs for the 2019 season.

McKenzie is a natural fit at NT, eats up space well and doesn't lose much ground when rested.

This. I’m not sure why ppl think he can’t. If Pruitt can tap into his potential I think he’ll do great.

Him, Shy, and a rotation of Phillips/Kongbo on the line in a 3-4 seems like a no-brainer. Especially if this defensive staff lives up to the hype.

Thats a big IF. KMac hasnt come anywhere close to reaching his full potential. He will be a SR in 2018. I hope he has a goid season next year but I woukd be shocked if KMac just flips the switch.

Thought the same. Heard Swain talking about him needing to rededicate himself under Pruitt. I think he’s worked his butt off to play a 4-3 tackle and it simply didn’t fit his strengths. Let him put on some more weight and plug.

Exactly. I think the same can be said for Shy Tuttle not being suited to the 4-3 either. He's a Jurrell Casey clone physically speaking, 3-4 DE all the way.

Unfortunately, unless someone pisses in his grits, I think you're right.

Oh I know. I’m not saying he’ll automatically come in with Pruitt and do good in a 3-4. I was agreeing that he’s better fit for a 3-4. Then added if Pruitt taps into his potential he’ll be great

Butler too... Obviously we’ve seen little of him. But he seems to fit in as a 3-4 DE, a couple years under this staff and (hopefully) a great S&C program and butler will be really good IMO

I can agree with that. Honestly, I hope he does flip the switch. I believe KMac has the talent to be an elite player. He has just suffered from terrible coaching.
