I read in another thread that Kingston Harris was already up to 298. I think his 247 profile has him around 270.

So is Garland already heavier, or are they suggesting he has the frame to get bigger?

kingston was 285 in his profile i believe. But yes hes put some weight on since he enrolled. When i saw that picture of Garland and his familyat the signing he sure looked heavier than 250. He looked 270 atleast.

Lots of folks complaining on here about stars and other offers. We better be glad this kid did not take off with stars and offers or we would have lost him like his teammate. He probably would be at FSU.

You are correct. Listed at 272 in OP of his thread, but his 247 has him at 285. That's great news.

Same with Garland. I was under the impression we were recruiting him as a ILB/OLB. If they see him as a 300lb lineman, that definitely changes things.

I really like Garland film. Along with Mincey. I think both of them will be major contributors for us over the next 3-4 years. Both play with a mean streak.

I think they were suggesting he has the frame for it. If they think of him like that, then add him to the other 4 DT prospects in this class that look like they could be good players and that's a pretty nice haul.

We recruited 8 front 7. Some will be playing outside linebacker in a 6-7 technique. Jordan Allen will be one of them. Pruitt even said so. Mincey as well. I expect Garland as well with his size. Will be a fun defense to watch.

Exactly.

Pruitt won’t be looking for 245lb “DEs” anymore, he’ll be looking for bigger, more athletic 280lb DTs who can flex out and play a 5 technique. He’ll want bigger, longer guys who can occupy space. Then we’ll have outside linebackers standing up rushing off the edge and play the run/setting the edge.

A guy like Emerson is perfect for JP’s 3-4, is actually a much better fit under Pruitt in the 3-4 than under Lyle in his 4-3
