I would not be surprising if we had a couple of de-commits. But, this is the first year since Butch Jones became head coach, that I do not see anyone on our committed list that I would immediately say is going to be dropped from the list by mutual agreement. The 2018 class, that will soon number 23 is about as solid as any class I can remember. The only position that anyone could suggest that we are short of what we need is DE. With 2 spots left, at least one of those will be a DE.

If true, then we know there is or was room against the 85, since we gave a scholarship to Eli Wolf. I know transfer's are handled differently, but since he is coming from a juco, he does not have to sit out a year, so I would think he would count against the 25 initial counters.

Transfers do not count against the 25 only against the 85. Does not have to be a grad transfer any transfer does not count against the 25 only counts against the 85.Jucos count against the 25 and 85.

Technically, JUCOs are transfers, so not ALL transfers count solely against the 85 if your last sentence is to be true.

Does anyone think there is a way we recruit Griffin to play OL. Replacement if we don't get Carvin, and would get us Anderson. I don't think we are super in love with Carvin anyway since it looks like we aren't taking Cam Jones, and therefore not getting Jordan Davis.

Don't think he's got height for OL, even center. Crowder type size.

Should project as the Quay Picou/Owen Williams type DT our staff likes

Any transfer athlete that goes on scholarship and receives benefits counts as a counter from that year. Other than graduate transfers all transfers count. Provide one single case that proves transfers do not count BC I would love to see it.

I was just thinking the same thing recently. I agree that we still see a couple of de-commits between now and NSD, but in past years it's been pretty easy for those of us who follow this closely to tell who those de-commits would be. I don't see any obvious ones this year. At least not right now.

im not sure. im sitting in the stands here in Rome. Adam Anderson just sacked Fields who fumbled and Jaquon Grififin picked it up and scored from about 70 yards out. Romes front 7 is serious.

We need a really good LB in this class and if getting a apparently very serviceable and athletic but slightly undersized DT is what it takes then lets add the DT to get the LB.
