Not really if you contextualize his history.

I dont know if he has some off the field or attitude problems, but if you look at his stats and his game film it's pretty obvious he's pretty dang good. He was Clemson's second best back for three years behind Etienne who was an absolute stud. Dixon still averaged 8.8 yards as a true freshman though!
Then he left Clemson because they decided to start 5 star Will Shipley over him and I guess he wanted to go somewhere and be a bigger factor for his final year.

I mean, looking at his film he could thrive in this offense.

If he's the addition, it's only for depth. I was thinking it might be him last night because he was considering us before he originally went to Clemson. He's not taking Small's starting spot. IF it's him, it's about load management and extra depth.

Dixon has always been a solid back it seems. I saw him run the ball at Clemson. In the mode of other backs they had. I'm not sure why he didn't get more carries other than them being deep at RB. I think he immediately becomes #2 as a running option if it's him.

Looks like a good RB. Wish we could add a LB and DT but I highly doubt that is on the coaches mind now with Fall camp starting. But Dixson looks really good.
