'18 GA S Trey Dean (former UT commit)

At 6-foot-2 and 180 pounds, Dean is long and athletic. He brings versatility to the secondary but his first love is to play cornerback and that's where Tennessee wants him.

"I can play corner and safety," Dean said. "I think it's just my will to compete and win every day. I'm going to try and be the best on the field every time I go out there. I'm coming there to start and there is no doubt about that. Tennessee wants me as a corner and I'm going to go in and start and do what I do."

He's also familiar with some of the Vol commits in the 2018 class. He will no doubt become more familiar in the coming days on the commit group chat and he was already spreading the good news earlier tonight.

"I just spoke to Brendon (Harris)," Dean said. "He was excited. I played with him and Alontae Taylor during a 7 on 7 tournament and they are good guys."

It's not all about his senior season at Dutchtown where he has high hopes for his final year at the prep level. Then it's on to Rocky Top with one clear goal in mind

"(Tennessee fans) are going to see Trey Dean go out there and ball," Dean said. "See me go out and compete every play and help Tennessee go out there and win a National Championship."
