'18 IN LB Cameron McGrone

We have something that will always trump the ND offer. DKJr.
Same HS Lawrence Central, they're close and McGrone highly values DKJr's opinion, but still understands to do what is best for him. He sees DKJr's productivity and can see himself carrying the torch once he's gone. He likes the Orange Swarm!!!!

"He was maybe the most impressive linebacker in terms of closing speed in the cat and mouse drills with the linebackers. Notre Dame is showing interest and he also has offers from Indiana, Tennessee, Wisconsin and others." - Opening Regional in Oakland, Ca,

MiramarVol, Montrell Hardy and I agree on one thing, this kid is the real deal. I know this may be me getting carried away, but he reminds of those 90s LBs, we used to have, that could run sideline to sideline and then Ray'Noch u into next week. Plus, he is DKjr's boy. Watch his highlights, and tell me if UT is only taking one LB, in the 2018 class, this is the one we want.

Btw, I want Xavier Peters, too. But, he may end up a DE

It would be nice to get this kid, but I think he will pick ND or Michigan, for sure. My favorite pure LB on our board. U all know I love Jibunor, too, but he is potentially a DE. Which I disagree with, but that's beside the point. McGrone is fast and like somebody said violent to the ball or towards blockers

Josh Helmholdt from Rivals posted on VQ...

Sorry to break into the commitment-fest over here, but four-star Indianapolis LB Cameron McGrone released his top 6 tonight and Tennessee makes the cut. Strong Darrin Kirkland ties here - same high school.

ND lean?

I have not gotten that vibe from him. Definitely ND is a strong contender here, but they only recently offered and the relationship is not as deep as some other schools on this list. Honestly, Wisconsin may be the school I'd give the current edge to, but it's still pretty early and there's a lot of recruiting to be done.

Cool. Hopefully, UT can get an official, too. But, if he has visited and is not already very impressed, we may not have a chance

He's impressed brother. We are in his top 6. I do not think he is going to Indiana unless he decides to do basketball instead.

I am very disappointed we've gone this long without a "he has a younger brother named Phillip" post. Totally unacceptable.

Would definitely like to see this linebacker recruited here to play linebacker. Pretty awesome that he goes to the same hs as DK Jr.

Flint is a stud also. 6'1 215lbs runs 4.5s. Im not sure theres a huge difference in Flint and this kid. Both are really good.

Just my opinion, but Flint being from Alabama would be just a little sweeter. I like the idea of having a LB from Alabama, who will definitely be aware of the rivalry and having been snubbed by them lining up against them. If all other things are close to equal, I take Flint over McGrone every day.
