'18 JUCO OL Badara Traore

The LSU OL commit remains a Tigers pledge after his OV to Tennessee this weekend, but sounds like a flip is definitely possible. He's set for a final decision on Wednesday. He will sign and enroll early. Full story to come.

Really hope we land this one. If we got him and Carvin this class, I'd like our tackle depth the next few years.

Traore, a 4-star prospect and the one of the top JUCO OL in the county, has three years to play two and had fun building on a previous relationship with Pruitt and hanging out with a cadre of JUCO visitors — including his teammate Johncarolo Valentin.

“They were being real,” Traore said of Tennessee’s new staff.

“It was me and a lot of JUCO guys here this weekend. We enjoyed it. We enjoyed the coaching staff."

With an eye on the NFL, Traore wants to play in the SEC. He enjoyed his first visit to UT’s campus and said Pruitt’s pitch was super simple.

“They need a tackle right now. Like tonight,” Traore said.

“So that’s what they were preaching the whole time. Me and coach Pruitt had a long talk and everything they were saying was that they need me to come in right away and compete and get a job immediately.”

Traore enjoyed seeing Tennessee’s campus and Neyland Stadium. His interactions with the Vol faithful left an impression, too.

“They’re die hard fans. They fans are waiting to win,” he said.

“I can tell that they really want the football team to win.”Traore is an early enrollee and plans to make a final decision on Wednesday.

Asked if his head was spinning a bit right now with a decision just days ahead he said, “Honestly, I don’t know. I have to go talk to people back home. It will be a family decision and then I’ll sit down with myself and figure it out.”
