Yeah I would say he was solid at most but not near the hype that was placed on him.

He was flipping burgers and then went from unranked to a 4*. Fans thinking he was gonna be CP were reaching. The guy had a very good career here for a two year guy.

VP also faced a lot of obstacles that kept him from having the type of career he could've had at UT also.

He was injured early in 2014, missed a chunk of the season, and wasn't really healthy at any point after that.

His suspension halted his development heading into 2015.

Not to mention, we had our fair share of QB and OL struggles those two years that somewhat limited the potential impact any of our WRs could've had.

He was never gonna be CP, but I think in a better situation he could've had more production than he had while here (which wasn't too shabby anyway)

This. That investigation ruined his career. He was immeditaltey removed from all boards as draftable. It severely hampered his development and conditioning. Late in year he finally started making plays again. We also didn't use him right. In his highlights dude made all kinds of acrobatic catches from QB throwing him 50/50 balls deep and we refused to do that with him here. For some reason we threw those to Malone who isn't physical

Yes, he did but he also didn't cut it on the field. Huge disappointment was Kenny O'Neil. I thought he was going to be one of the first JUCO superstars we'd ever had.

He only knew one play.. Jet Sweep. The problem was so did the defense

"One of the first"? You mean YEARS after Anthony Miller, Dale Carter, Charlie Garner and Leonard Little?
