People talking about CFA transferring are just casual spectators and don't follow the Vols closely. Tyler Byrd and CFA live in the same household. CFA helped in the recruitment of Byrd. Everyone gets super excited when we sign a new class, but a healthy CFA will play a huge role in our offense this year.

Still debatable. Smaller sample size from CFA. They still need to get 2 impact backs this class

I (like many) was excited about the burst Kelly displayed in that freshman season. It was against lesser competition but Darrell Scott didn't impress against like opponents. I agree with the need for 3 impact backs, but I would add we never need to rest on that need.

Articles I read. More than 1 article too. The coaching staff had a few players in mind to possibly let go if needed to land that bigger fish which never happened & Coleman was one of them.

Coleman was never a potential "git- shirt ".

Jordan would have been cut before Coleman.

Or never added. I just think it's BS to drag Coleman (and our coaching staff) through the mud with no basis. I guess Tony is still finding those sources.

Why would someone call you a liar if you proved you were not? How bout an apology if you were wrong?

Wrong about Coleman? I don't have to apologize about that because it was the truth. He was one RB possibly on the chopping block if needed down to the end just before NSD. I know this is true & don't need to apologize.

I will always apologize when I'm wrong about something. ALWAYS! I'm an honest & you won't see my telling lies here or anywhere else. Thanks!

How do you know he was on the "chopping block"?

Again, source? I'm not attacking you. I'm really trying here. I'm not saying you are lying. I'm saying you are wrong. You are mistaken. Or you misremembered.

I also seem to recall that everyone thought that because Coleman was a Louisiana kid, he would not stick, either. I don't recall if LSU ever came calling, but I do recall that Coleman remained firm to his commitment throughout the process. We cannot say that about many of our commitments and de-commitments to the 2017 class.

I know LSU came after Labruzza but I want to say that while the pushed for Coleman, I don't think they pushed that hard. I'm glad to have him on board regardless.

Tony.

Coleman will get carries next year...
Might challenge for #2 back...

Coleman will switch to linebacker before he transfers. I personally think neither will be necessary as I think he will prove to be a dang good running back for us

We are in trouble if he has to be number 2 at any point next year. Idk what you and Tony going back and forth about, nor do I care, but you are way over hyping Coleman.

In all honesty, I personally thought that Coleman may get recruited over after they accepted his commitment so early. But nothing I ever read or heard from the actual coaching staff ever supported that. This is all based on people's personal opinion and speculation that he might get dropped. The article that keeps being referred to had to do with him possibly visiting LA tech. The writer of the article assumed that he may have been asked to look elsewhere. It was never based in any actual facts. I hope this ends this silly discussion.

Well he hasn't got to campus.
So hype is pretty much all you can have...

If Coleman had 4 star by his name
And Chandler a 3 star by his, you would think Coleman is better...

Because that's what you're going by- stars.
