Never taken the mcat but I imagine different majors do a better/worse job of preparing you for such a test. With that hair I doubt the major or mcat can hold him back though.

Unfortunately, many med schools essentially downgrade community college or junior college credits. Not fair, but they do. :no:

We don't have a strictly Pre-med program, but most of our pre-med students major in Biochemistry and Cellular and Molecular Biology (BCMB) or Ecology and Evolutionary Biology (EEB). Some major in Chemical or Biomedical Engineering.

I have a friend that got his BSME from TTU. He worked in a factory about a year and decided it sucked. He went back to school and he's a Dentist now. Talk about a diversified resume!

Yup. I took off a year between UT, Knoxville and med school. Really, really gave me incentive to work hard in med school. :hi:

They redesigned the test to try to account for that. It's now mainly passages and you have to answer questions based on critical thinking.

You took it recently didn't you? I for one am getting tired of this critical thinking trend. It's damaging the ability of students to retain facts

This summer is dedicated to studying for it. I'm just not a fan of standardized testing in general. There are so many different types of people I think that it's crazy to try to create a standardized test.
