I doubt Williams redshirts

Oh yea I suspect Williams plays early and often..If he can pick up pass blocking then it's game time. One thing about Evans he was a great run/pass blocker.Rbs are one of those hard to judge type positions. Some guys are just naturals and others just come outta nowhere and slay it.

**Ask Ole Butch Jones he wouldn't know a good rb if he was sitting on the bench...

Jeez..this kid looks like a Tiyon clone..😳 I just peeked in here for the first time and watched that...it's really strange how much he resembles Tiyon on the field.
We have 5 rb on team now better .. no take .. rather find a LB or DT myself

Balance is pretty good, decent vision, doesn't go down easily at first contact.

Not as fast ad Tiyon, but similar in a lot of ways.

I think he would be a decent pick up for depth.

I wish Tiyon could have kept his crap straight and been around for another year.

Not really. Whitehead isn’t anywhere near a game changer. I give you Small and Wright but both were injured last season. Justin Williams and Dylan Sampson are talented but they need a RS year. Bring this guy in and our RB room gets better.
Williams does not need a RS year.

Yeah if Williams needs a redshirt then that would make him less ready than Jaylen Wright and I have a hard time seeing how he would be worse than Wright as a freshman.
Wright should have probably redshirted. But if a better freshman Wright and Whitehead is the level of our 3/4 backs we will survive. It will be better than last year but not where it should be.

#me too

Too big of a talent with a skill set we don’t otherwise possess (whitehead I guess who I think will be better, but I think williams is better) and we’re not overly deep at the position
I wonder if Whitehead could be good enough to be a short yardage guy this year.

Like can he at least be better than Jaylen Wright at short yardage? I never want to see him with the ball on 4th and 1 again.

I think so. Sounds like Whitehead played injured a lot last year. Hope to see a new kid this fall!
