That’s plain goofy. I count 5 teams in the SEC that would clean TCU’s plow right now. Georgia, TN, LSU, Bama, and Ole Miss.

I had this exact same argument with a guy I worked with many years ago (20 or so) when Marshall was undefeated....

His argument was that Marshall was undefeated without taking into account who they'd played

My question was "So, if Marshall played the equivalent of a high school every game and won they'd be more deserving than a D1 college team that'd played a much tougher schedule and lost 1 game?"

His answer? "Yes, because they're undefeated."

Those are the kinds of people you have to deal with..... unfortunately.

Those 5 teams would beat TCU like a red-headed step-child and KY might even give 'em a game on a good day.....

TCU has NO business being in the top 4 of anything but "lucky" teams....

Tennessee won't drop. It's just that everyone assumes whoever loses between OSU and Michigan will still get in at no.4 . The major networks wet their pants at the thought of a Big10 NC.

If it's a back and forth slugfest with those 2 , like 49-46 or something like that, watch it happen. They'll claim Tennessee wasn't competitive enough with UGA and didn't play in our division title game blah blah

And if it's a close game (FG or less) they'll use that to keep one of 'em ahead of TN unless TN absolutely destroys USCe and VU.....

I almost hate that MO had to take one like that (no I don't) but it was necessary

MI will hopefully lose because it becomes an SEC vs B1G beauty contest and if it's us vs tOSU they'll get a "legacy bump" like Bama has to get in.

If it's us and MI, again it's a beauty contest and if it's a "good loss" to tOSU by MI vs our "bad loss" to GA...... I'm not sure we don't drop.

Fun to debate about it but there is a lot more football to be played. Really doesn’t mean a lot for another 3 weeks. The great thing is that we are in the debate. Who would have dreamed that before the season began? Nobody that I know.
