Why can't they just rank recruits based on their ability to play the game of football? I know that their impact at the next level depends upon them getting into college, but the excuse of academics is inconsistently used. Some who are ranked very high, yet academic risks, do not have their ranking affected, while others do. Just rate the player based on his ability and be done with it.

The Vikings reached the Class 4A playoffs their first postseason in seven years and the duo of quarterback Hunter Silverstrim and Tennessee commitment Shatar McClay was largely to thank for that. Silverstrim threw for 1,142 yards and 15 touchdowns. McClay made 38 catches for 746 yards and 13 scores.
Watched everything available on Mcclay. I have a hard time believing Beard will let Warren take him. Taylor is a 6.0, and Mcclay is just as good. He will get offers from USC, Texas, LSU, OSU if his grades are in order and he's doing the right things off the field.
The talent the state is producing is unbelievable.
The state is turning out to be like Georgia with how people are moving there. Talent is coming in from all over. All of a sudden the state is producing kids with monstrous talent year in and year out.
Just hope the talent isn't being overrated like is the case sometimes in Tennessee. How many of Tennessee top rated prospects actually turning into legit big 5 contributors?
To think Knox could leave the state, and Tennessee could still land a top 5 WR class without leaving Tennessee for a wideout, is ridiculous. The talent and the coaching, at school and 7v7 type settings, must be very good. Watching TJ Sheffield highlights it was hard not to be very impressed by how well that entire offense looked. I hope some of their games are online this year.
