'18 TN CB Shatar McClay (UT commit 4/13/17)

I will reserve judgment until Breakerboy and Caleb chime in. They both seem to know a lot about CB play in the SEC. I am being serious in case anyone thinks that I forgot the blue font.

I would rather read posts from D4H than Caleb.

D4H's posts are so hyperbolic that it leaves open the possibility that he's a troll. Caleb just sounds like he went a couple coaching clinics and spits out jargon to try and sound like he's the smartest guy in the room.

I disagree, but I don't know him from Adam, but he seems to me that he has some knowledge. I will say that there are very few posters that I would rank below D4H in terms of who I want to read.

Maybe somebody trying to kill him threw him off a little.
Just a thought.

I've seen it go both ways man. TD Moultry the 5 star LB headed to Auburn was shot as well. It made him a lot more focused. Most become more focused if shot or so at a young age. I need someone to make him take this opportunity extremely serious. This is life changing.....

I live in Montgomery County and went to Northwest, I will be checking McClay out this fall and will find out more about him soon. I have some connections at my old Alma Mater. I do feel comfortable saying talent is not the issue. GBO!!!!!

Why would we care? I don't think he'd start over Warrior at safety(which is what he plays at Penn State). 😎😎😎😎

I don't personally. Once they don't come here I move on. i didn't even know he was playing Saftey. If he is a Saftey then yeah he wouldn't play over our current guys at that position.

From what I've read this guy is a really good football player. Awesome news. I'm getting a good feeling about this class.

None of us in here give 2 flips about Lamont Wade anymore. Go start a thread in the off-topic forum.
This is more about BB than Wade. Do you even English bro? Apparently not.

Either way McClay looks like a good pickup. I haven't asked BB though so it's TBD. 😭

Apparently Lamont Wade has been tearing it up at PSU who BB was EXTREMELY critical of.

I was a villain in that thread for questioning BB but it will be interesting to see how his development. I hope he isn't one we end up really regretting.

UT was very much in it.

Always true. I did clearly point out however that it would be interesting to see how he develops.

What difference does it make if he plays safety for them? If PSU can move him to safety and be successful why couldn't it have been at UT? Are we not as good of a program? TK Jr leaves after this year and Warrior is just a sophomore. He could have came in and played soon but you seemed totally dismissive of the thought of Wade in orange.

Also-All of those attributes you listed resemble our own Justin Martin. Those numbers sure have translated thus far, huh?

If we beat Vandy and SC I think we land him. We had a lot of momentum with him at one point and he came down on his FAMILY'S dime more than once. His relationship w/ Shoop was key.

We were significantly closer to landing Wade than we ever were for Akers. JMO

Ummm can he tear Big Ten apart first before YOU ship him to the best CB in the nation?

I english just fine, thanks.

Funny he says that about Martin and he's kinda dominating at CB this spring since he's actually focused. If he has a big season there will be a lot of crow to eat for sure. Kid could blow up big on the draft boards with his talent and skill set.

Who will have crow to eat? Nobody around here has doubted Martin's talent one bit.

A lot of us have just been disappointed with his immaturity and inability to put his talent to use for large chunks of his time on campus.

Yep, I will certainly be eating crow after making a factual statement regarding to Justin Martin's tenure THUS far at the University of Tennessee.

Apparently, using facts negates the possibility of wishing success for the subject at hand. I'm sorry, I didn't get that, BB. But I'll keep that in mind 👍🏻😎😎😎😎

Just remember Moseley looks like an All-American at practice. 😎😎😎😎

similar to Coleman I see folks dog Mosely like he is pure trash when in reality he is prob one technique or so away from being who you want him to be. Where he needs to be most of the time but needs to learn to play the ball. Warren coaching will be interesting. Martin and Moseley have the body and potential to be special with right coaching
