'18 TN OL Jerome Carvin (UT signee)

Just know he goes the opposite way when he sees me coming. He pulled some shady stuff in 2010 against our camp, and at MTSU. Following these incidents he's never wanted to be around me ever again.

DE1, how's does BD continue to have influence on any kids with his shady past...I would have thought recruits and their parents would have figured him out by now

He hasn't been in TN much lately but has bn in Memphis Bama and Miss has a certain kind of target but I'll defer on commenting

Perhaps the staff is going to take a swing for Anderson, hence why they're slow playing Cam?

I think the staff feels they are in a very good spot with Flint. He's also looking to do something before his season starts (Aug timeframe). He has us at the top and is really high on Thig. Anderson is a long shot and they are relying on the Chatman camp for the assist here.

Gotcha...appreciate it...

On a side note...I think it's funny that you refer to Memphis as if it's not part of TN...it really is like it's own little world

From what I've observed it's been kids without much parental guidance who he's able to latch on to. Rico McGraw being an example, nobody else in the mid-state would give him the time of day at that point. Fortunately, he has no influence anymore in the mid-state. Memphis will always have people like this trying to influence stuff.

It's not so bad here. What's most interesting to me is how some parts of it have become quite nice and enjoyable, yet some have become even worse, as if that were possible.

That being said, what does this DB being involved mean? Is this one over for Bama? Do we think it means the same with Jordan Davis?

If this were a numbers game and we were down to only (1) more OL spot, hypothetically speaking, who would you rather have?

Faalele or Carvin and why?

It's always amazed me when schools like Ensworth simply use kids for the sake of athletics. We all know Rico didn't pay his own $30k tuition; the school ate it or another parent picked it up. Private schools like that, are as much about keeping their kids away from public schools so they're not around "kids like Rico" as they are actually academically preparing kids for the next step. But then they'll turnaround and hide behind the "doing the right thing" mantra when it's truthfully only athletically motivated.

DII schools in the states of Tennessee can give athletics scholarships to students who need financial help

I would rather have the guy from Nashville (Antanetti)? over both of them, but I'm sure that's a minority opinion.

I also think he has the biggest upside. He may be the only one of them whose future is at LT. Antonetti is a freak athlete who has played his entire career as a TE. Those other guys are going to end up as guards on the next level. Antonetti needs a redshirt year to add weight as he is around 270 now. He has great feet which is what you need at LT. He could be similar to Marcus Tatum but he already weights a lot more.

So nice to be able to take a guy like Antonetti and let him develope for a year or 2.

No just a different demographic and socioeconomic situation in Memphis. I wasn't saying it like they're not a part of TN.

If we miss out on Carvin, we can get Tanner Antonutti, as soon as UT says commit and/or Faalele, too. So, even though I prefer Carvin, it want kill UT to take their 2nd and/or 3rd option, imo

Carvin because he isn't a project

To be honest, we are already stockpiled with very good to great offensive linemen. If I was running the recruiting, I would take the one with the higher upside and I think that is Faelele. He does not need to play immediately.
