I haven't seen Deadwood, but I wouldn't say it was like Yellowstone very much, more like the video game Red Dead Redemption. Or like if Oregon Trail was a show.

Yeah, sorry my question was stupidly vague. I'm talking less about the theme and more about writing/production quality. Deadwood could have episodes where nothing happens and it's awesome. Yellowstone kinda lives and dies with the plot.

And watch Deadwood. It's awesome. Any fan of westerns needs to watch Deadwood.

I watched two episodes last night on Kodi, so far Billy Bob is the best character on the show. Don't know how long we have to wait for a Comanche to murder Faith Hill, not too long I hope.

thought the pilot was kinda boring and Dutton racking up 10 bodies in 1 day from 3 different spats is silly. Hollywood's idea of the old west vs. what it actually was...let's just say you wouldn't get marauded, pick pocketed, and your daughter raped all in one day.

Just finished episode 2 with the Christmas day, meat sweats wind-down. I'm loving it so far, has a bit of a Westworld feel with the narrative.

The first two episodes were kind of slow and I wasn't sure I was going to continue it.. But episode 3 really hooked me in and I can't wait for the next episode. It's just really hard to buy in to little Timmy McGraw being this badass cowboy.
