The Vols’ previous staff was actually the first school to offer the St. Simons native a scholarship, and the staff change actually helped Tennessee. Sheffield is close with quality control analyst Tino Sunseri, formally one of the athlete’s main recruiters at FSU. The two talk regularly and there’s plans for Sheffield to visit the Vols with his family before making a decision. There’s no doubt Tennessee is playing catch-up behind Auburn and Ohio State, but they feel like they have a real shot if they can get the Under Armour All-American back on campus.”
