AUBURN: "I have visited Auburn four times now and they are right there for me. The staff is very family-oriented and I am a big family guy. I like how I feel when I am there. I am close to coach Woodson and T-Will (Travis Williams, linebackers). Coach T-Will is one of the best out there. He matches the energy that us recruits have and that is big. I think his energy and passion make him very good. The best thing about Auburn for me is the feeling I have there."
CLEMSON: "I like the stability at Clemson as much as anything. That staff is close and I have relationships with most of them. I have gotten close to almost everyone on that staff. I talk to all of them on a regular basis. Coach Dabo Swinney is a guy. He is a God-fearing guy like me and that stands out a lot to me. We have that religious connection and that is big for me."
FSU: "With FSU, the family feel is there. I have great relationships with coaches and I always have a great time when I am in Tallahassee. I feel like me and coach Taggart have a lot in common. I really like the attitude there too. It is a feel there that you find at a lot of other places."
GEORGIA: "The coaches at Georgia really like my football smarts, my ability to lead and how I have the chance to come in and contribute early. I have been talking to Georgia a lot and coach Tucker is my main guy. Georgia is doing some good things right now and they have a lot of talent there, so there is a lot to like about the school. It is also close to home, so that is nice too."
TENNESSEE: "Things changed when coach Jeremy Pruitt took over as the coaches. The vibe is really different there. I honestly was not feeling it there with the old staff, but when the new staff came it, it changed for me. Coach Pruitt's message to me is simple: he tells me that they just need guys. He has really made me feel wanted there. I like coach Kelly and coach Fair too. They are great coaches and they have coached a lot of good players, so that appeals to me. The coaches and the playing time opportunity stands out most at Tennessee."
IN HIS OWN WORDS: "I don't know what to say to everyone who thinks Clemson is on top for me," said Booth. "I do like Clemson, but my recruitment is still wide open. I have not said that Clemson or anyone is my leader. I am still looking at a few schools."
THERE ARE FAVORITES: "I do have favorites, but I do not have a leader or anything like that right now. I like Georgia, Auburn, Tennessee, Florida State and Clemson. I am looking at a few other schools still too, but I know those five. I do not have a top two or three yet, but I am working on that."
DECISION TIMELINE: "I am very serious about recruiting right now and I am getting closer. I still need to take two or three more visits for that clarity. I am going to commit to someone over the summer, but I have no idea when yet. It is going to be about who I feel is most genuine with me. Relationships are so important to me. I am getting very close. Some coaches are fake every day, but it will be all about who is being real with me."
RIVALS REACTION: Booth is very quiet and he just goes about his business observing more than talking. In his mind, there may be a school or two that have separated from the pack, but he is definitely not tipping there hand if so. He is closing in on a decision, but he will make sure he does all he needs to do before he commits. Booth plans to make one decision and then be done with the process. A commitment could come as early as June.
Andrew Booth goes about his business very quietly. He is not one who puts out information on each visit. Sometimes he likes to take his visits without many knowing where he is and he could literally commit at any time.
Clemson is viewed as the favorite by many, although Booth will not confirm that is the case. We know he is very comfortable with that staff.
But do not sleep on the other Tigers. Auburn has some real momentum right now after picking up three commitments (all from Georgia) over the past week and Booth is giving those Tigers a strong look too.
The in-state Georgia Bulldogs have remained in contention as has South Carolina, Tennessee and maybe a few others.
Booth is one who could commit in the blink of an eye, so he's one to watch closely.
From 247:
Ranked No. 24 overall, the nation's No. 1 cornerback, and No. 7 recruit in Georgia, Booth has not named any leaders, having visited Auburn twice recently, as well as Clemson, Florida State, Georgia, and Tennessee in recent months. Many feel Clemson is the team to beat, with Auburn and Georgia jockeying next, but Booth maintains he has no leader. Expect him to visit schools and commit over the summer, possibly as soon as next month.
Andrew Booth is a Rivals 100 cornerback that is likely to make a decision within the next two months. He is a real priority for Tennessee. Auburn and Clemson are viewed as the favorites by many right now, but the Vols are not giving up. Florida State, Georgia and Tennessee are also schools Booth has visited in 2018.
