Our 20 yesterday plus Mincey if it's true what AP said this AM("he'll be here sooner than later") makes 11 ?
I think the number was down to 69 scholarship players on the roster at seasons end. Now it's just a matter of how many seniors choose to come back. We didn't have a large number participate in senior day. Also, do they self impose any reduction of scholarship numbers? None of us knows the hard number of available scholarships yet, and probably won't until after spring practice

We need another WR who can play right away like Payton did…preferably a deep threat like Payton.

We have Hyatt, Calloway, Merrill, Keyton, and Coby that could step into higher rolls with given more reps in these Bowl practices and workouts this winter leading up to Spring practice.

If Calloway can step up, he fits that bill. His TD catch was a big time play, a Velus type play. He needs to step up.
Would not be surprised if Calloway and/or Holiday transfer even tho Calloway could be a starter if he believes in himself. In the spring the staff then sees what is available transfer wise !

I understand the thought of Calloway maybe transferring, it's been mentioned, who knows how true it is...

Interested to see what the team looks like over the off-season into the season. I'm not bought into Calloway transferring just yet. Believe Holiday is more likely...still not sold he will.

Coby didn’t sniff the field, so we have no idea what to expect from him. Keyton just isn’t fast enough. I hope the others develop, but adding another guy who isn’t a freshman would make sense. We have the room.

Calloway should start next year. Thought it was kind of messed up how the staff did him after the Florida game though. He should have still played a lil .

Yeah he is too electric to not be on field but he has to earn it. He didn’t answer the bell when challenged. Sounds like he learned from it and realized what the problem was and it wasn’t coaches

Hyatt was very disappointing last year. I know the staff was high on Merrill during the summer though. Hopefully both Jimmys can get it together over bowl and spring practice and Hyatt can improve his hands. Fant and Warren coming back will help. Either way we NEED another WR through the portal. Webb and White being EEs will help a lot, but I don’t think either are Justin Hunter or Da’Rick Rogers type players that will contribute immediately at a high level

With all 4 receiver signees being early entrees I would wait for a while before committing a schollie to transfer WR. Should get a good idea of need pretty quick. Don't want over allocate normal initial counters and we don't know how many of those transfer replacements we will earn till they become eligible at another school on schollie. That will start coming into focus soon I think as all schools have better idea of need after signing day.

Could’ve been a mutual decision in order to red shirt. Maybe even planned even beforehand

Deion Smith is the guy you really want, he's a game changer type player (potentially 1st round type talent), a little immature
Any insight into what his health issues are if any ?

Smith was also one of those freshmen receivers who flashed immense potential at times but ultimately wasn't able to stay healthy.

I'm not sure why Tennessee would be interested in this one, he's not a bad player but he's kind of mehh about 80% of the time. He has had some big plays here and there, most recently in LSU's last game against TAM. He split some defenders and a screen and went to the house. He struggles though at times. But on the flip side he does work hard and he is a good kid. Time wise I would think he would have 2 years of eligible.

Congrats on the coaching hire. Think he will do a great job at LSU
