LSU played pretty good

Not bad, in some ways they outplayed Bama but Bama didn't really make any mistakes and LSU did. Danny missed on 2-3 passes, the INT was huge and wide receivers dropped 2-3 catchable long balls. The defense played well but some busted coverages on 2-3 plays as well which kept a few Bama drives going.

LSU just needs to keep fighting and close out the year, not a bad game a few too many mistakes. LSU needs to get better QB/WR play or there is very little chance against Bama.

LSU has gotten healthy and Coach Eaux has learned his lesson (from their Troy loss) to not meddle in how Canada wants to run the offense. As result, they are a much improved team.

They use the entire bye week to prep for Bama and always play with great focus and intensity against Bama. I knew it would be a tough very physical game. It always is. I'm happy to get the W, but we lost two more LBs for the season. Down to 3rd stringers now at two LB positions. Ouch!

LSU should easily win out.

Alabama lost 2 more LBs for the season in that game, makes 4 total now --- yet they keep winning

No doubt Alabama is a solid tough team, I am just not seeing any real threat on offense, meaning any real super star. Not sure they need it against 97% of the teams out there though as they overpower and have depth. Very very solid team, no real weakness but no real breakout player on offense I think the same can be said of the defense.

I don't think Bama is as good as previous years but not sure they have to be. It would be interesting to see what Mayfield could do against them. Although, Bama won the scoreboard, physically I thought Bama is going to feel that game for a bit. I don't think Bama is as good as they have been in the last few year, still very solid, a QB has to play very well for their team to win. Bama's best player imo is the freaking punter. Another Brad Wing, a difference maker for sure.

Really too bad Danny couldn't get 3-4 more balls in the right place and Chark didn't play his first bad game - I felt LSU left 18pts on field somewhere. Could have been a good game at the end. LSU coaching staff did a nice job at some point the players have to make the plays - nice month or so for Coach O and the staff.

Bama played as hard and well as they needed to. Had LSU accomplished any of the things that you suggested, you would have seen a much more engaged and interested Alabama. As it was, your coordinator was much more interested in going left to right then finding the end zone and that was okay with Alabama. It's always about whatever it takes.

You guys are going to absolutely boat race us and I don’t even care.

As much as everyone makes fun of Orgeron, I think long-term he will work out well for you guys. If he continues to be willing to change and can recruit at a top level you guys will be fine.

Well, we'll agree to disagree. Really, take the punter out and the game is completely different. I thought LSU outmanned Bama and that was a surprise as well as this was/is probably the weakest OL/DL in about 20 years for LSU. The game plan worked, execution on the money ball - not so much.

We must have been watching different games. LSU deserved to lose because of not hitting the money balls.

Not sure about the first part, if they don't play 100% effort than its Troy all over again. They are playing hard and that makes the difference.

Yeah, I don't understand the hate so much for Orgeron to be honest, maybe he won't go down as the best coach in the world but he is doing hanging in there. LSU doesn't have the horses in the OL/DL that they have had in years past until they get some guys its about surviving week to week.

I bet Coach O speaks better English than the people teasing him speak Cajun. :)

I don't completely disagree with you. But if you're correct, then LSU's gameplan assumed that they wouldn't sustain many drives, and basically told themselves "we gotta try to churn out a few yards, and then we gotta try to get the rest on one play."

He'll be run off in a couple more years.

Its pretty simple LSU had 184 yards rushing (not counting the QB taking sacks), guys were open.... sometimes the ball got there and some times the ball didn't, when the ball got there some of the WRs didn't make the plays and they didn't need to be Odell Beckham catches. Add that to great punter and Chark doing poorly on handling punts that was the game. Chark and Danny's issues for the most part were unforced - all but 1-2 sack really didn't even need to be taken... first game all year Danny had time to pass, generally speaking other than a few plays in a couple of games.

I didn't see anything wrong with the gameplan, I would say it basically worked, meaning taking the pressure off the QB and RB - the problem is at some point the QB still has to make some good plays, Danny just didn't. He didn't need to be Joe Montana but he needed to be good and he wasn't, he is okayish. Game plan worked, QB is just not good enough and Chark had a rare bad game.

LSU didn't lose because of the gameplan. imo I would say it worked, but at the end of the day - Bama is going to make the QB make some good plays and Danny wasn't good. It was a very winnable game imo, meaning the mismatch in personnel to me is not close as in prior years - this would have been a disaster of a game under Les. The offense scheme was sound and some of the stuff I was suspect on prior to the season, actually seemed to work to me.

I give the coaches a B+/A on this one. Bama is solid and no huge weaknesses but not as strong as prior years, not sure they will have to be. I would probably have to name the punter the MVP. LSU needs to find a QB, Danny is a good kid, just not quite on that level - that was the difference in that specific game. imo

Here's the deal with me, without the missed Bama alignment on a wildcat formation, Canada doesn't sniff the end zone. Enjoy your stats and Delvin White and Guice and their wolfing, most of all enjoy your moral victory, it's really what this rivalry has come to. For Bama fans, it's simply 7 in a row, and counting.

I don't think its a moral victory it was a loss. You are having a stupid argument with yourself and I have no idea why. To be honest, it would probably be easier just to put your gump ass on my ignore.

Why are so mad? LOL Alabama won the game. Not really a question because you are going on my ignore but you seem like a mental midget.

My friendly advice, get laid. Either way, I think what I said was mostly obvious stuff.

Struggle much with rebuttal? Fair enough, it's obvious Bama has had the tigers on ignore for years.
