#19 Miami @ Pittsburgh

They have talent on defense, I'll say that with confidence. Spence, Mccarthy, Harris, Bailey and RayRay are talented.

Pitt was overrated... vastly.

Beat you in 08, we'll beat you again in a few years.

The Big East should be banned from the Top 25 for the next 5 years. WVU and Pitt within the Top 40 is laughable.

Miami seems like it would be a natural rivalry for UF. I wonder why UF does not play them every year instead of one of the cupcakes they schedule.

I guess that is just one of life’s mysteries.

Why give up a home game every other year only to get your butt kicked before the conference season even starts?

I wish Florida's government would do like they do with Florida and Florida St. and force Florida and Miami to play every year.

Wanny always has that look of disappointment/cluelessness on the sidelines. As a Pitt fan, it kills me to see him there. Guaranteed mediocrity.

UF was scared of Miami in the late 80's and early 90's, so they dropped them from the schedule.

I can't tell you why they aren't scheduled now. Miami no longer strikes fear in anyone outside of the ACC, and they've even had trouble with consistency in that joke of a conference.

For now I will rest on the indisputable fact that the entire ACC is an embarrasment.

Can you imagine how the late 80s/early 90s and early 00s would have went for UF?

They want no part of a healthy U.

I like this snippet from ESPN:

The rivalry grew even more bitter in 1980, when Florida fans -- angry that the Gators trailed Miami 28-7 late in Gainesville -- threw peaches at the Hurricanes, who were headed to the Peach Bowl. Miami coach Howard Schnellenberger was so furious he ordered a field goal to add to the final margin.

If you think Miami today could even play on the same field as UF, you're delusional. I have a sneaky suspicion it'd be very similar to the UF-FSU series. Lopsided in favor of the Gators.

Btw, UF played Miami in the late 80's.
