Nebraska(7-2, 3-2) @ Penn State(8-1, 5-0)

Probably the only one but I'll be pulling for Penn State. Don't want Nebraska to play in the Big 10 championship and while everything that went down at Penn State is disgusting, the kids on the team had nothing to do with it.

I'm thinking of a win one for the Gipper scenarios. Pissed, at home, I like their chances.

Same with the Michigan State and Iowa game. It's going down in the Legends division today.

Well also think about PSU's case: with a new coach (& overhanging scandal), they have to go into games against Nebraska, at Ohio State, and at Wisconsin

More than likely, this can totally reopen that division for Ohio State to make their championship game (or even Wisconsin...though OSU holds tiebreaker; still, wasn't this supposed to be a down year for them?)

Like the other divisional race also. Know you're not the biggest fan of Iowa but if they can make it through (what might be, for them) their murderer's row, they win the division....game wise that kind of shakeup would be fun to see

This is the hardest game to pick this week, because I legitimately can't tell if Penn State's going to come out with fury and win one for JoePa or if they're going to lack focus and lose by two TDs.

As romanticized as the "win one for the gipper" idea is for football, it almost never actually plays out as such

A coach getting fired / controversy tends to dishearten teams much more often than it motivates them/ gets them riled up

Yeah, I ended up sticking with Nebraska. They've looked the part of a better team this year (outside of the Wisconsin and NW games) and it's too much of a risk to pick PSU.

You will find out after the first quarter.

Watching the emotion during the pregame of the fans reminds in some way of the first game after sept 11th. I was in starkville ms on a thursday night for the first significant sporting event after Sept 11th. I remember wondering if we should be there and also some fear. I see that in Happy Valley today.

The craziest thing is going to be if Penn State wins and the team takes the game ball to Paterno's house. There's going to be thousands of fans that follow them there.

My question is does ESPN think people really care about Penn St. this much?
