Pray to God, even though he ultimately knew that everything was happening and allowed it.Teams do that often on many levels when something terrible has happened. I've been on a knee or at midcourt a dozen times. No tvs, no cameras for most. Were those for publicity too?
Showing public support and prayer doesn't mean its just done for publicity. Tell that to the players on the field.

Yes, many people pray for peace, for peace of mind as well, and pray that the weakened gain the strength to deal with difficult situations.
