CBS Sports spoke with 2019 4* Defensive End Zaach Pickens recently about his possible college opportunity. He was asked of all the offers he's received thus far which if any school has stood out. "Pickens replied with a laugh & smirk & said where are my family lines in college football? The reporter laughed with Pickens & said we all know who you're talking about. Pickens replied by only saying his first name started with a "C". Of course, it's a long ways away before I have before coming out of high school to enter college so I have a long time to make an official decision. I'm very appreciate of all the offers I've received & will continue to work as hard as I can to become the best player that I can be. I hope & pray to remain healthy as time goes by."

Of course, Pickens is in the class of 2019 so he certainly does have a while to ponder his decision but he obviously was referring to UT about the family lines & the "C" for UT great Carl Pickens who played WR for UT back in 1989-1991.

DE Zacch Pickens

“I had a chance to see PIckens play late in the year and I was surprised at his size and speed as well as his motor. He lives a little bit off the beaten path, so it doesn't surprise me that not all schools know about him, but after watching him play in person combined with his overall film, it was time for us to make the move.

"Clemson, South Carolina and Georgia are already involved and it will be a heated battle between several schools to land his commitment.” – Woody Wommack, Rivals.com Southeast Recruiting Analyst
