The athletic center, I went around that and saw that and the weight room, Flowers said. When I was leaving, me and my coach, we rolled around Knoxville for a little bit just to see everything. Its amazing. The mountains are huge out there. It was nice seeing all that. (I liked) the city itself. There was a lot of people in the city, so I know the stadiums going to be packed. The football facility caught my eyes, too. Its beautiful.
The stadium was huge. It was huge, and I know its loud when it gets packed. I know it is. I knew the stadium was big, but I did not know it holds over 100,000 people.
They just wanted to see me perform in front of all the coaches, he said. "All the coaches wanted to see me with their own eyes how I do in certain drills and things like that. They told me that I did good. I think they said thats the best 40 (time) that was there, but I dont know. They told me they like me changing direction and things like that.
(Pruitt) just reminded me that they want me down there, that they just need some players, Flowers said. Everythings going to work out good for them. He was telling me how, when they first watched my film as an offensive staff, they picked up the phone and offered right away. They know a ballplayer when they see one. And (he was) telling me things of that nature, letting me know that Im a priority.
They were telling me my versatility will help me out a lot, because they can do a lot of different things with me in the backfield. They were seeing I can come in, work hard, (and) Id have a good chance of starting, just beating out the competition things like that. Coach Weinke and Coach Rumph, they try to text me every day, just asking me how my day was, things like that, Flowers said. "The deeper I get into this recruiting process, the more we talk.
