Wow... There are good linemen and then you run across a player like this. IMO, he’s very impressive. He loves the game. He’s mean. He’s strong. He fires out low with leverage, balance and good footwork. Kid mauls players big and small. Plays through whistle and may block your *** all the way into the parking lot. Future Center?

This thread reminds me of the /misc/ with all the comments on squat form lmao

I think that a HS kid doing 500+ on squat is impressive, not so much for someone who's been in a D1 S&C program for a year. As mentioned, improved form and conditioning will lead to the ability to hit more volume, which will definitely lead to more strength. Perodizaton programs and access to top tier supplementation and nutrition will bring on massive strength and size gains. If programs like Iowa and Arkansas can do it, so can we.

It’s great for his age. Remember last season it came out that only like 5 guys could squat 500 or something like that. We were so small and weak.

It showed on both sides of the ball. Look for a really good offseason change in S&C. Another off season will be even better.

“We didn’t have school today because it was graduation day, but my alarm went off anyways and I still woke up early,” Pritchard told VolQuest. “I had a text from Tennessee and coach Niedermeyer, saying, ‘Hey Will, give me a call when you can.’ They pulled the trigger and said they really liked me.”

“A couple weeks ago, coach Friend followed me on Twitter and I thought that was awesome. Then a couple seconds later coach (Jeremy) Pruitt followed me and I was like Oh, boy,” Pritchard said. “They sent me one of those graphics with my last name on the back of it and that made my heart start racing, just to see my last name on the back of that UT jersey. That was awesome.”

“They said they’re in need of a true center because they’ve been working with guards there,” he explained. “But it helps my stock that I know both positions. They like how I finish and my quickness off the ball.”

“I plan on committing somewhere by July. I did the whole camp tour last year, and have camped again this year, so I’m going in with the attitude if they believed in me at the beginning I’m going to pull that trigger and see which school is best for me,” he said. “I want to focus on winning that state title during the season.”

Wasn’t Ollie Lane center in HS?

Also the VQ article sounds great for us but then the last paragraph makes it sound like he’s leaning towards schools he camped with already or offered early. Am I mis-reading that?

I get the impression that he means schools that have offered up to this point, prior to his senior season. He wants to get it over with, so he isn’t going to entertain offers from schools that wait until the fall to start recruiting him.
