The last 3 minutes of the game lasted about 30 minutes. I was just waiting for something bad to happen.

How pathetic are we that we are watching a 16 year old game that started at 4am my time and we are discussing it while it's being played

I just hope our players are half as hungry as our fan-base is!

...it's all about perspective.

You're not pathetic. You are sharing a cherished memory with around 2000 casual friends.

Vandy is pathetic. ...and don't you ever forget it.

If I had started following college football one year earlier I'd be a Vols fan due to this game...

I do hope to see you guys back on the national stage soon

Outzen was scared to death. Did he ever do anything after that game?

Not sure what he did after that game but he beat Florida in the game before that game. Tennessee has nothing to apologize for in going 15-0 and winning the National Championship. It was earned.

If/WHEN we are to ever get a chance again at a National Championship, we need to send our kickers to an Acting School, as our first quarter acting debuts by our punter Leaverton and field goal kicker Hall received **** from Hollywood critics.

No doubt but my point is he was running for his life. We were a talented and experienced football team. Key players from 95 and 96 recruiting classes like Wilson, price, Riley, Hamilton and more! Seems like Jarvis reado was there forever! And I'm glad for that!!

Tee Martin was ahead of his time. Legitimate dual threat. Would be great in today's spread offenses.

Tee Martin had a cannon arm...

...and that's about it.

I'm forever grateful to Tee for 1998 - but he's given way too much credit around here sometimes. Some goes as far as to say he's the second best QB we've ever had. Ridiculous.

His '99 season was God awful.

I don't think he's the second best QB we ever had. He probably makes the top 5 on the 98 season alone. But I do think he could have flourished in a spread offense.

All I heard for a month FSU fans is that they were going to be even better with Outzen because he gave them a whole different dimension with his legs. Of course the minute the game was over they blamed it all on him.
