He's wide open. His only offer to date is Southern Miss. so as of right now he's a Golden Eagle. I think after this semesters grades come out and it is clear that he will qualify he will have lots of choices.

He grew up liking LSU. Remember his impressionable years age 10-16 they have been pretty good (2 Nat. Champs) whereas TN hasn't done much. That said he would be just as open to TN. He likes coach O and Coach Kiffin.

Enjoy reading your posts keep up the good work.

Thanks for the great info. We'd love to see him in Knoxville next year. Any chance you could help bring him our way?

There are a lot of good reasons to go to TN. Great tradition, academics, 100,000+ seat stadium, exciting new direction of prgram and the compelling oline situation the year after next.

Is it true there will only be 7 oline on scholarship + 2010's and Juco's for the 2010 season?? Guessing they will be looking to bring some D-lineman over if this is true.

Assuming TN offers all of this will be spelled out but it will be his decision in the end.

I'm not sure of the exact number, but it is extremely low. 7 sounds about right.

I like the sound of that.

I just viewed the depth chart at UTSports.com and counted 7 OL returning after next year's graduations.

2010 is a good class to be in for a chance at early playing time.

edit* Douglas moving to tackle would make 8.

That is an alarmingly low #. I think O.C. will make a heck of a C/G in the SEC but IMHO he needs a redshirt year. Even if he is talented enough to play his true freshamen year.

Redshirt = going to class, getting used to college work, study hall, learning the system, lifting weights, running scout team, learning where the bathroom is, if you will.

Playing early = All of the above + playing against MEN 4-5 years older, pressue of learning plays and performing in front of 100,000+.

Every kid thinks they can and wants to play early but 9 times out of 10 in the longrun a redshirt year is best for O & D lineman.

Exactly. Only those with the stronget of minds and wills usually can come in as a true freshman an excel.

Does anyone know if Ambles showed up though? He's probably the one I'm most excited about being here.

laughing as I post this...

cPanel®

"We were in a dark theater and all of a sudden they turned on the lights and the coaches ripped off their shirts," Ambles said with a laugh."It was like in the army and it got crunk up in there. Some of the players that were in there did some chants. It got crunk."

Most people are non-distinguishable but I can see Pete Carrol enters the room from the upper-right corner of screen at about 00:10. On this video's snapshot, he was standing right beside a bust at the top of screen
