Yeah, no really compelling games tonight. Arky-FLA&M and OSU-Indiana are the closest two. I'll probably watch the latter, since Indiana is one of my alma maters, heh, but it's not going to be even close. Mitzustu, you'll easily cover that, I think. Ohio State by 30+. Indiana sticks to basketball. :)

Would stay far away from that spread. OSU by 14, but will be closer than most think but never in doubt.

Interesting game backstory-wise.

Kevin Wilson was the former coach at Indiana who came and took what was a 1-win IU team in 2011 and got them to the point of back-to-back bowl games (for the first time since 1991) by 2015 and 2016 (with a schedule that only allowed for 3 OOC games as well). Essentially an offensive guru, he took a school that was as abysmal at recruiting as Indiana and with a pretty poor roster and got them to points of being top 10-20 offenses over the last 4 years...unfortunately he was just as bad at defense as he was good at offense, with his IU teams fielding defenses ranked in the hundred and teens in those years (which is kind go funny to see a statically top offense alongside a defense that pretty much couldn't stop teams if they were allowed to use shotguns).

IU went from from getting blown out by Big 10 members to being competitive with these teams. They weren't beating them, but they were keeping games close and had become a bigger obstacle to the conference big boys...losing to them by 10 or even single digits quite regularly over the last few years (including a 3 point loss to OSU, a double OT game against Michigan, and even an OT win over a ranked Michigan State).

Well unfortunately, IU dismissed Wilson as HC this last offseason (the rumors seemed to be all over, including issues involving players that had received concussions and possibly forcing them to run harder in practice drills the same day). And seemingly immediately Urban Meyer and Ohio State offered him a position as the OSU OC.

So the guy that built the program from complete joke into bowl-caliber, got them to the point of having worthwhile NFL prospects (they've had recurring 2nd and 3rd round draft picks the last 3 years for the first time since before 2008) and a stumbling block to the big boys comes back to Bloomington with the other team.

How's Arky vs FLA A&M compelling?

You're gonna lose money. It'll be a close game.

I got Ohio State squeaking out a 27-23 win.

Kevin Wilson's not coaching at IU anymore. You might not end up with such a close game, like would appear in the last handful of years.

On 3rd down plays for OSU they have three interior OLs each time with two hands full of jersey pulling IU defenders down to the ground. No need for their commissioner to make a call, the Big10 officials knows who's paying their bills. Really lopsided officiating to start IMO.

Debord keeping the hurry up, but they can't run against this OSU defense. Passing attack is working well though.

no thread for the Arkansas -- but Florida AM got burned by Nike because of the jersey style -- TO charged every Q they wear them --
