Harm them in what way? maybe convince them to get an education? Maybe create a little more parity in the college game?
Yeah, because going to college makes the players better people. Heaven forbid they wind up like Kevin Garnett, Lebron James, or Amare.Harm them in what way? maybe convince them to get an education?
Who gives a d**n whether the college game has more parity? It's better to keep a guy from earning income for two years and feeding his family just so a few colleges can suck him dry for two years and make millions?Maybe create a little more parity in the college game?
I mean that's fine. But I would think there would be a better way that doesn't potentially harm the FUTURE of the league.

I was referring to the rare but classic case of someone getting permanently hurt.
Or even if they have an amazing first year and then drop off some the next. An example would be if Chris Lofton had been projected to go high in the first round...and then had a season like this one that hurt his stock.
I'm all about them getting an education, but the guys that are guaranteed to go to the NBA don't do much school work anyway...
I think it's a retarded rule. If you were in engineering school and invented something that paid you 5 million dollars a year...would you stay in college?
right, they have even more of a guaranteed income. I just don't get why people think that they should stay in college. how is college going to help them in the nba? They are wasting money making years while in college. Just go back to college when you retire or wash out.NBA players don't invent anything. They play a game and get paid very well for doing it. Now if a NBA prospect actually invented something they would have every right to test the free market.
