This loss for Kentucky was one worthy of Sophocles and Shakespeare. It was like watching Oedipus Rex or Hamlet unfold before my eyes. You knew the outcome going in, but the shock is mind numbing when the curtain falls. The tragic heroes have reached the end of their arcs and it is both terrible and beautiful to have witnessed. 😔

Mark Stoops should have let Florida score at the minute mark. He had a kicker and an offense that could move the ball if need be. At some point you have to sacrifice to give your offense enough time. Once Florida gets going, it's hard to stop them. All they needed was a field goal. Fifteen more seconds and Kentucky would have won, had they just let them in the endzone. It sounds crazy, but that would have won the game.

I generally have a policy to root for the meteor in the UGA/UF game. This year I hope the Dawgs embarrass the Gators. It will be weird to pull for Georgia, but this has got to stop.
