PJ Hall for sure
How it effects Hall was a primary reason I was not in favor of taking ORN at the time. That being said, in a theoretical lineup that includes Josiah James, Jaden Springer, Keon Johnson, and Corey Walker, if Robinson-Nkamhoua is your "worst" player on the floor, I think that team can win a lot of games.I’m not so sure, he’s one I will be curious to see...landing ORN and now most likely Plavsic makes adding a post not nearly as glaring, he’s a very good prospect so that changes things a bit, but not sure how they’ll view it.
I think Jaden Springer, Bryce Thompson, Matthew Murrell and Samson Ruzhentsev will remain very high on their board.

Keon Johnson, the top player in the state and No. 34 in the nation, announced this week that he will make his college decision on August 6 and that his final three are Tennessee, Virginia and Ohio State. Johnson has never come out and called Tennessee his leader, but did make it to campus three times this past academic year, once as an official visitor and most recently during basketball season.
-VQHe’s been to Virginia once and to my knowledge hasn’t been to see the Buckeyes, who only got involved in the last couple of months. I wouldn’t bet the house on it at the moment, but given how close he is to his family, I have a hard time not thinking that Tennessee is the team to beat. Academics are a big deal to him, and Virginia obviously offers that and the chance to compete for a national title, so I don’t dismiss there chances at all, but if I’m handicapping the field right now I have to give Tennessee the edge.
“I didn’t make it to Ohio State, but I had to re-schedule it,” noted Johnson. “I think I am going to get up there in June for an official visit. They feel like I am good fit for their system. Also, academically they feel like when I would step foot on their campus that I would acclimate and fit in well. ”
“Coach Barnes has put a lot of players in the league,” said Johnson. “He is very good at player development, and his method clearly works for his team. He has had them playing at the highest level since he got to Tennessee.”
“I like Virginia a lot. It is similar to my high school in that it is really good academically. It is also a great system and they won the national championship, and I like Coach (Tony) Bennett.”
.“I will be committing on August 6,” said Johnson.
I can understand the natural propensity to be negative with regards to our recruiting when we fish in the 5* pool, but Springer has taken 1 OV and it was to Tennessee. VQ has stated we are in a good spot, which is generally code for we either lead, or are in the top group of 2 or 3 schools. He has visited multiple times and we have been on him for years. The only negative to find is that Rob Lanier is gone and had been his lead recruiter, but even that can be mitigated with 7 months to build relationships with Kim English. He might be the most realistic candidate off that list. I've said before that I'll believe Springer at UT only when I see it. With Murrell, if UM is out of room...maybe. I never get worked up over any prospect in any sport from memphis. As for Ruzhentsev...meh.

The attitude of doubt with Springer is reminiscent of the same with regards to Josiah James a year ago. That one turned out alright even though we looked like the least likely candidate of his final schools. Relationships go a long way and these kids respect Barnes and his staff.
Adding both Springer and Johnson would be a dream but doubt both would sign in the same class. Springer is a man among boys in high school and looks like a one and done to me. He can score at every level and is so strong. Johnson’s recent clips literally reminds me of a young Kobe from an athletic standpoint. He was relentless going to the rim. With his length at 2G and James at PG....that would be a big backcourt.I guess it's the BVS being strong with me. It's just difficult to imagine adding both Johnson and Springer following James. Would be something to see happen at UT. Classes like that are for others. UT just doesn't land classes of that caliber in hoops. Would be a taste/glimpse of what the blue bloods life must be like.
-RivalsKeon Johnson recently trimmed his list down to Ohio State, Tennessee and Virginia. The school that ends up landing him will be glad they did. His combination of size, length and athleticism is great on the wing, and he uses it to his advantage. He has the potential to be an all-league defender. He’s great attacking the basket on offense and really tough on the offensive boards because he’s so quick off his feet. He does need to be a more consistent shooter though.
