Below are the Signee Lists for UT from 2002-2008. The orange lettering doesn't mean anything, it was just something I clicked on while browsing and it stayed that color.

One of the reasons I compiled this was so everyone could look at the names and associate them with who did what and who didn't do anything.

That is a good list. Looks like we still have a lot of talent, and I expect it to show with the better coaching, but it also looks like a lot of these guys didn't even come close to meeting their potential.

Sucks Holbert didn't pan out, but that had a lot to do with the change in offensive style and obviously some horrific injuries. Nice to see 2 stars like Ryan Karl, Ellix Wilson, Inky Johnson, and Chris Brown all did pretty well.

Any reason why it only goes back to 2002?

Seems like Rivals got those guys wrong.

Whatever became of Greg Jones? He showed some promise and then transferred or something.

Jason Hall is another 2 star that did really well.

Withdrew. Remember he had family members that were killed in a car crash on their way up to watch him if I remember right. Really sad for a kid with that potential.

Jason Hall seemed to be pretty good too.

Yeah, but he played the rest of the season I thought. I figured he'd stick it out.

Ended up being a huge bust. Mainly though because of the whole mission trip.

How many years did he have left when he came back? Not sure I buy that as the reason he was a bust.

I counted 15 5 star athletes on those lists. Highest drafted player among all of them is Robert Meachem. I assume Eric Berry will hold that title soon. Many busts though, among those 15.

2 years. He could never get back in shape and never played up to that potential he showed before he left. Great guy though.

Well,
Is it just me or does it seem like we have had more than our fair share of 5* bust?
The only one on the list that has played like a legitimate 5* is Berry.
Meachem was very good.
Chris Donald can't even get in as a back up.
Morley was great as a true freshman but he doesn't seem the same now.

Either the analyst were wrong on most of these guys or our coaches were pretty bad.

There are 8 guys from the '02 class alone that didn't make it past a couple of seasons at UT, 9 considering Banks.
