Good chance that we get Chris Walker, Cris Hill, and the Willingham JUCO within the next week.

I agree that those three look like they are right on the edge waiting for their official visit to push them off the ledge. Unless they dont find what they are looking for all three of them will commit over the weekend. And, we know Hill and Walker are big gets. The coaching staff really likes Willingham so I will trust them that he can provide help in the secondary. He is not a January JUCO though.

I really wanted Brandon Paul, but I would take Cris Hill in his place, though we may still get Paul too. Walker is a take and a stud. Willingham will add immediate depth at a need position.

Vereen, Frazier, Rogan, Jones and Hawkins all can play TB. Cooper is a FB. We will likely sign another TB(hopefully Creer) and maybe another potential FB.

Word is that there is a good chance that Rolando Melancon will go public for us within the next few days.

his name would be awesome if you switched the a and o in his last name. just imagine. And that is Rolando Meloncan's 2nd sack of the day.

New article on Willingham sounds like he might not commit on his trip. He says he really wants a Cal offer and that he in not opposed to staying on the West Coast to play football. He definately did not say UT was not still in the running but it doesnt sound like it is as much of a slam dunk as it seemed a couple days ago.

Cris Hill and Rolando Melancon, though RM was just rumored to be close to committing. Hill was visiting this weekend.

The only thing about Hill is that he said he likes West Virginia, but didn't like they didn't know who their coach was going to be. With Rich Rodriguez staying, Hill may be a little harder to land. Although, isn't CJ Fleming a teammate of Cris Hill? This could prove vital.

Here is a look at the class in my opinion. They only non-commitments I added were Donald and Melancon. Those two are as good as commited. The two positions that look the weakest are OL and RB and we have a lot of good young talent at both of those positions already (a.k.a. not needs). And, even with RB not being a need we could end up with a very good RB class with Creer. Our DE and S positions worry me in this class. I think we really need a high profile S like Burnett or Francois (we are still involved with him). And, we really need a high profile DE like Dunlap or Martin. The class is loaded with athletes who could end up at a number of differnt positions so that makes the S position somewhat comfortable. Tyler Maples or Art Evans could possibly end up at S.

This was supposed to be a pretty big recruiting weekend wasn't it? I saw the Walker thing, any other news come out of the weekend on the services?

Cris Hill really enjoyed his visit. He's basically going to decide between Tennessee and Virginia Tech in the next month. Ben Martin feels really comfortable in Knoxville. The Vols are surprisingly in good standing with Martin. That's about all of the news out of the people who visited besides Walker and Willingham making their commitments.

Haven't heard anything on Harrison Smith, but I'd still say the Vols still have a 50/50 chance to land him. You can't count out the boy's childhood team.

I have noticed some things suggesting Miguel Chavis might be sold on UT after his visit. That would be a good get because DE is a need in this class.

Luther Davis, 4-star DT, will now be visiting in January. Ahmad Paige helped Trooper talk him into cancelling Auburn and instead visiting UT.
