2009 Class

God I hope we beat these imbreds next year! Zueter is a perfect example of an Alabama fan. I argued with one this past year when he told me that Saban had signed a 3 year 75 million dollar contract to be their coach. He also swore that Tebow was the worst QB in the SEC. They will never change down there and I'm glad because they are really easy to make fun of.

Nice car

You forgot one...UT lost to Bama.

So are you comparing UT losing to Bama to USC losing to Stanford. At least you are admitting that you guys sucked badly last year and beating UT was a fluke. Most Bama fans still act like they won the National Championship last year. What will you all do when your beloved National recruiting champions go 6-6 this year and become a mainstay at the independence bowl. They are going to start offering you guys annual discounts at the hotels in Shreveport.

We have more of both than any other team in the SEC. Again, like I said before, it's the direction of the program. Don't be haters, just say yes sir...because, as of right now, we own you.

Direction of the program..? You are DEFINITELY a Bammer. Last year's team lost more games than the year before. We won more games last year than the year before. What kind of math do they teach down there?

Tim,
If you'd knew what has been going on at BAMA the last 5 years, you'd understand what I mean by the direction of the program. There wasn't much to be happy about. However, it's now on the upswing. It's possible we might go 6-6 again in 08, but it's not likely. It's more likely we'll be something like an 8-4 or 9-3 team next year. My prediction for worst case is 7-5, absolute best I think would be 10-2.

As far as UA/UT you know all that matters is who won the last game. It wasn't a fluke, but it was one of few bright spots in last season.

I'm pretty versed in Alabama football and got a good grip on what's been going on down there. Having said this you stated that you guys were headed in a positive direction and we were headed in a negative direction. I'm pointing out the obvious in that we won more games last year than the year before... UA won last year and I can't explain it other than we sucked in that game. It was obviously the pinnacle of UA football last year as your team melted down afterward and we caught our breath and made an awesome run to the SECCG. We created an atmosphere to build upon wherein your team created an atmosphere of losing. UA won the recruiting battle this year and CNS did a good job at that, however all is not roses in Bammer land. I think the coaching job that CPF did last year was probably one of his best (post UA game). And I think what you saw out of CNS was typical, probably toward the end of the season he began to impart his will on your OC causing a rift. Furthermore, an 8-4 or 9-3 season is not success in Orange country.

Yes, obviously 10 is greater than 7. For all the great vs. bad atmosphere talk...the point is UT wasn't able to jack w/ it in recruiting and we were. Yes, yes, yes, I'm aware #1 class doesn't automatically equal a NC, but I can guarantee you bad recruiting equals mediocrity at best.

Secondly, nor is it here. However, it is progress. There is more pressure to win NCs here than in Knoxville. That's why Nick Saban was hired. He's proven he can do it. That is why he was hired, but you have to walk before you can run. That's why 8-4 or 9-3 would be acceptable next year. It takes time.

Wow, this is just sad. You sound like Notre Dame fans, pathetic, longing for the good old days. Don't worry one day Saban will get you into the Peach bowl. Then he will move on, probably to Notre Dame.

Marlon Brown WR Memphis
Alex Bullard OL Brentwood Academy
Courtney Easterwood OL Memphis
Eric Gordon DB Hillsboro
Gabriel Hunter RB Memphis
Wesley Johnson OL MBA
Gene Robinson LB Memphis
Zach Rogers WR Nashville, David Lipscomb
Zak Tait OL Knoxville Catholic
Derrick Webb LB Memphis

Seems to be good OL talent though.

Yeah, we also have a shot at Xavier Nixon, a tackle out of NC who is one of the top 5 tackles in the '09 class. The bad part about it is that the OL is the deepest and strongest area on the team.

Seriously, guys, I know ya'll have had some down years in recruiting and, as of last year (especially this year), our recruiting is great. There's really no need of UT bothering either Marlon Brown or Eric Gordon. CNS is already on them.

Sure you guys recruited alot better this year than we did, but to say we have been down in recruiting is just as uneducated as an Alabama fan. Heck if you look at the last two years in recruiting you almost had to have the number one class just to try and keep up. The last two years alabama-3 five stars to TN 5 five stars, you guys got more four stars we have 15 yall have 29, we have 26 three star you have 20. We managed to recruit well when Satan was in louisiana, and we will continue to recruit well after this year with satan in alabama. If I were a recruit I would have looked at your sorry team getting beat by a D2 school and thought to myself hey I will be able to play immediately there. Tn just won the east and had top three recruiting class the year before, might be tough getting playing time there. Plus we dont throw in financial incentives.

LOL...don't get your panties in a wad. There's nothing to suggest money has passed hands...quit looking for an excuse. CPF just got outrecruited by 35 other head coaches, that's all.

Yeah, but Satan finished #1. That is what having the big bucks to pass out will do for you.

I think I have it figured out. I heard Satan was making 4 million a year and now I hear it is 3.5 million. I guess the other 1/2 mill is for his new recruits.

Isn't Bama known for being on probation? Better be careful CNS!:nono:
