I'm watching LSU lead by 5 right now and they have kicked the Gators ass all night.

We all watched it. Oregon was physically whipped on both lines. One of the bigger 9 point butt kickings in recent memory.

So what would the explanation been had we won? We very easily could have, had LeGarrette not fumbled that ball in the red zone in the 4th.

That's called "playing good defense".

Winning by 9 points is called what?

Complete and absolute obliterating domination. I have never seen such an awesome display of athletic prowess as what tOSU did to the lowly Ducks. Tressel called the dogs off at 9 points because 10-11 points would set the Oregon program back a decade.

No chance. Losing almost the entire defense and no way the offense is carrying them all the way.

Are we talking about the 2010 national champion or the 2011 national champion? OSU can absolutely win this year, but no chance next year.

I'm not sure why everyone is convinced that Tressel and Ohio State are bad in big games. Someone may want to check his record in BCS bowls..

Shoulda, woulda, coulda.

What if Tennessee had a kicker? They would have beaten Bama.

We don't live in a world of what if's.

What if I Oregon had a national championship? Enjoy laying around thinking about it for the rest of the day. :yu:

1-2 in National Championships.

0-9 vs. the SEC.

They can thank the refs for the win over Miami.

1-2 in national championships isn't that bad. The only game in which they may have had the more talented team was the 2006 game with Florida. In 2007 they only made the title game because everyone else in the country screwed it up multiple times, they obviously weren't the best team. Not to mention they were basically playing a road game for the national title.

And Tressel is 0-2 vs the SEC in BCS bowls, and 4-3 overall.

They've sucked on the road for years. Haven't beaten Cal or USC on the road for 10 years. arizona and ***la could five them a game as well.

I dunno, I get what you are saying but they just look different this year.

Of course, that relatively poor showing against ASU at ASU certainly illustrates your point.

Poor showing at WSU as well. also look at ua and at stanford last year

USC isn't any good, Cal and UCLA are worse. Arizona was overrated. I can honestly see the Ducks running the table, their toughest challenge being OSU. Speaking of, any word on James Rodgers injury?

It's possible they run the table, but it wont be easy. their defense is mediocre at best and a good fast D will give that offense big problems. Stanford's D is slow. Oregon hasn't seen a D with good speed all year. Cal will play them tough. Mark my word. If SC hasn't mailed in the season by that point, they have the athletes to play them tough too. everyone thought bama would run the table easily too and oregon isn't that good.

USC's defense is literally terrible. I've watched them play 4 times this season, and in each game their defense was a liability. While they have the athletes to beat Oregon, I don't see it this season.

Cal hasn't impressed me at all. They gave up 50 to Nevada, and I don't see them holding Oregon below 40. Cal needs to show me more.

Bama also plays a tougher schedule than Oregon.

usc's run d is pretty good. their pass d is what sucks and oregon doesn't throw very well.

cal has dominated every offense except nevada (top-10 in the country in total d). and outside of last years debacle cal has done very well against kelly's spread in the past. also cal is a horrible road team and great at home. just like oregon. i understand almost no one has watched a cal game other than nevada, but i assure you cal is good enough to at the very least make it a game. best team oregon has played by a mile is stanford. and stanford is a horrible matchup because of their complete lack pf team speed. we saw that last sat against sc where woods killed em.

USC's run defense is good? They gave up 193 yards to Stanford and 225 to Washington. Oregon's rush offense is better than them both.

What "isn't very well" with Darron Thomas having 1,213 passing yards, 14 TD's, and a 152.45 QB rating?

Cal hasn't really played any offensive juggernauts. Their stats were inflated by beating up on UC Davis and Colorado(who was just routed by MU), and they were beaten by Nevada and Arizona before taking it to an ailing UCLA team.

I've watched Cal play, hence the reason I'm not too terribly impressed by their performances.

Woods is a monster. He'll kill most teams he faces.

You are crapping on cal's schedule but then mentioning thomas's inflated stats? Cals #1 in the PAC 10 in every major defensive category including shutting down arizona and ucla. What decent offense has Oregon even been mediocre against? And I very much doubt you've watched more than the Nevada game since the rest have been on t the same time as oregons games and most only on regional tv
