This article is a few months old but I just saw it. I don't have a Rivals membership but the description says "Overall, this will be one of the more highly regarded collection of prospects the state has ever produced." Sounds like great news for Tennessee since we usually produce less high school talent than some of our neighbors. Thoughts?

This statement also excites me: "The class is filled with high quality players at the skill positions and other premium talents at linebacker and on the offensive and defensive line"

Let's hope we can keep these boys in state before we all start celebrating

We need to make sure to sign the top players in UT... The whole "fence" situation.

Any top DL and OL need to be top priority. Everything else is gravy.

Yeah but if we could lock at least the Knoxville area down this year then we could have a really good class. And we need to lock down the Nashville area too.

The prospects in our areas of need are mainly in west tenn. Dtackle oline.

personally, I'd rather lock down GA. Seems easier than Nashville & Memphis.

Atlantas closer than Memphis and has a whole lot more talent. Be good if we could pull a dtackle from Memphis and the long kid.

Ya, recruiting never stops. Dooley is already on some of the 2011 kids that he feels are top priority; and you can guarantee the staff is evaluating a ton of the prospects in Tennessee...

I saw the interview with Chuck Smith with Frank Ski, and he seems very personable and will definitely be able to relate with the kids.

He has helped develop a lot of college guys for the NFL. His NFL experience is something special too.

What I like most about him is that he's a Vol! He bleeds orange and you won't be seeing Reggie Bush highlight reals to motivate our players.

Bill Battle was also noted as saying that if tennessee was going to keep up with everyone else they would have to start recruiting nationally. He knew that eventually our in state talent wouldnt be enough.

We're always going to have to recruit nationally, but since UT is still in rebuilding mode it would make it much easier if we could keep the local boys who are capable of playing in the SEC.

I am all about recruiting in TN for this year. The talent we have in the state is as good as it has been in quite sometime. We need to poach kids from GA, top kids from NC, SC, VA etc. Lockdown Memphis, and take a little from Alabama, MS, Florida. Take a few from Cali, Texas, and LA.

I guess we still need to recruit nationally now that I think about it.
