2012 Vol recruit C Tony Parker says....

This is good to hear. Again, I really doubt recruits give a damn that Bruce made extra phone calls, and they know he manned up and admitted his mistakes. As long as we don't get extra penalties out of this, I think we'll be okay.

Maybe I am just not a believer that all the coaches are cheating all the time, but I just believe that Pearl and Co. were frustrated that they believed that some programs were winning in the Selby sweepstakes simply because they were cheating. They felt that it was only "fair" in this instance if they cheated a little to get him back - especially since the NCAA was giving a blind eye to the others who were cheating and getting by with it.

Now, if their is more to this, then I hope it all comes out. Until then, that is all that I think it is. They were just trying to even the playing field in this instance.

I am not saying it was right, but how many of us have been in the same situation at work or in school. I know I have. Sometimes cheating seems like the only "fair" thing to do. In other words, I don't think Pearl and Co. drew first blood. They were just reacting to what they (correctly) saw as an unfair situation.

cardASSian, you must be on one side of that or the other. He either manned up or he didn't. Well guess what, he DID. I'd rather a coach realized he told a lie and understand it needs correcting than to tell another lie. He's @ least smarter for that. And he "grabbed the bull by the horns" and faced it. Can't get around that.

Your joking right?

Bruce saw the light alright...it was the NCAA freight train barreling down on him. He did what the situation required...fess up or be exposed by the NCAA.

Now sit back and watch this unfold....UT BB will feel the wrath of the NCAA.

The violations in questions apparently happened in 07-08, Selby wasn't in the picture.

And the world will end in 2012...right?

Doom and gloom fans are hilarious.

I thought this was all about the Selby (re-)recruitment. I had been hearing that Kansas and Ky was also being looked at. Hmm, well forget what I said then if that is true.

Hopefully we can get this guy. This is only my opinion but I think for 2012 these are the most important recruits for UT to get: In no particular order
1. Tony Parker
2. Alex Poythress
3. Jarnell Stokes
4. Jordan Adams or Archie Goodwin whichever one is fine
5. Damien Wilson
Some of them maybe long shots (Stokes) but I feel that if penalties are not bad enough then we can get these guys. Go Vols.
