This is good to hear. Again, I really doubt recruits give a damn that Bruce made extra phone calls, and they know he manned up and admitted his mistakes. As long as we don't get extra penalties out of this, I think we'll be okay.
Maybe I am just not a believer that all the coaches are cheating all the time, but I just believe that Pearl and Co. were frustrated that they believed that some programs were winning in the Selby sweepstakes simply because they were cheating. They felt that it was only "fair" in this instance if they cheated a little to get him back - especially since the NCAA was giving a blind eye to the others who were cheating and getting by with it.
Now, if their is more to this, then I hope it all comes out. Until then, that is all that I think it is. They were just trying to even the playing field in this instance.
I am not saying it was right, but how many of us have been in the same situation at work or in school. I know I have. Sometimes cheating seems like the only "fair" thing to do. In other words, I don't think Pearl and Co. drew first blood. They were just reacting to what they (correctly) saw as an unfair situation.
