I really thought he'd do well in NE. It's like the Pats refuse to use their #1 WR.
I didn't expect him to do anything special. Brandon Lloyd is not a #1 wr. He was average in SF. Below avg in Wash. Same with Chicago. Had one good year with the Broncos out of 3. Avg in Stl. And nothing special with the Pats.
The last time the Patriots had a good wr opposite Welker was Randy Moss.
He'll be cut again before that deal is up.
But I liked Dumervil. He played with a chip on his shoulder in a league where you don't get paid for what you've done, but what you project that you can do. I hate that they had to cut him.
Freeney or Abraham can replace some of the pressure, but we need Wolfe and somebody else to step up as well.
