2013 Orange and White game

This will be my first O&W game and I am super excited but I can't really find a lot of information on it. I know the game itself starts at 2pm but does anyone know if they will be signing autographs and what time it starts If they are? I'm just trying to plan on what time to be there so I don't miss anything I live about 2 hours away. And also what about parking? Can you park at the stadium for free?

Hey do they play the game on the big screens where you can see it from the river?
Does the vol navy come out for this game?

Looks like DaRick is trying to come to the game

From listening to Brent Hubbs on the radio it sounds like Butch is only going to play the subs or scout team players. Now, why should I plan on going?

If they want to fill the stadium, they need to promote it. Last couple of years I haven't heard anything about the event from local channels.

The reason it isn't heavily promoted is because it's simply not worth the money to do it. If they draw a huge crowd organically that's great, but given the dire financial straits the AD is in right now, spending a bunch of money promoting a meaningless spring scrimmage is spending a bunch of money that could (and should) be put to better uses elsewhere.

Exactly, we need to save every penny we have. A penny saved is a penny earned.

Go big or go home.

So you'd like to see the AD piss away thousands of dollars it doesn't have promoting something that in the big scheme of things doesn't matter at all?

No, I don't want a penny spent on getting people to support the program. I don't want anybody to show up at the O & W game and get a feeling of hope and excitement and decide this is the year they buy season tickets. Or bring a youngster who decides Tennessee is where they want to go to college. No, I don't want any of that.

It's the AD's own fault for having 3 head football coaches still on the payroll.
There's a new coach that should be promoted & waiting 2 weeks before the game to put anything on their site is wrong for those wanting to travel & trying to plan. Website promotion costs them nothing.

The date has been known for months. If you're traveling from our of town, then you are almost certainly making a full day of it so the intricate details don't really matter.

In a perfect world spending all that money would make sense. However, right now there are a lot of other things that the AD needs to address financially. Trying to spend your way out of a bad financial situation is rarely the solution.

You do understand the money the football team makes for the school comes from the fans, right? Advertisers pay because they have an audience (fans). Athletic department makes money because they sell tickets (fans). Vendors and concessions make money because they sell a product to people (fans).

All the offensive players are wearing white, all the defensive orange. They’ll mix and match personnel throughout the game. The staff will coach their positions, rather than splitting up. And they will be going full-speed, so expect a lot of substitutions (read: you will need a program).

UT biggest booster is under FBI investigation -- possibly more lost money because of that

Could someone do me a favor and tell me who is injured/not playing (Such as Lane) Thanks!

Actually didnt know the official time till right now. Sad how difficult it was to try and find out info about it. I didn't wanna "ask" anyone, wanted to see if I could just find it.
