Verlander back in for another inning according to Tigers beat writers. if it were up to me I'd leave him in until his arm falls off...no reason to let the bullpen even sniff the field

Nothing like paying $148 million to get shutout in the ALCS. This offense is the biggest joke I've ever seen.

Detroit and it's fans have been in mourning since the grand slam by Big Papi.

It's not even that. This loss feels worse than that one did to be honest simply because we gave home field advantage back and the offense yet again completely failed to support Verlander in any way.

You are right. Hopefully we can get a w tomorrow.

I feel like they have to have a breakout night eventually, but this is beyond frustrating. Also doesn't help that the team's best hitter is playing at about 70-75%.

This is what happens when you change your approach. Your offense goes in a funk.

Sanchez-Lester pt. 2 tomorrow...should be a good one. If the Tigers hit like they did tonight they'll have the lead going to Boston.

True. However, I'm still more worried about facing Lackey or Buchholz than I am Lester. I think he's hittable.

Not often I have to root for a pitcher to be removed in the third inning, but this is pretty bad. Anibal simply is not on target tonight.

Another good game tonight. Would love to see Cabrera up in the ninth with a chance to tie it.

Not dead yet...Scherzer/JV for games 6 and 7. however the odds are not exactly in the Tigers' favor.

A win tonight would have been nice, but the Tigers are capaple of winning the last two.

to be honest, out of the three possible games this one was their least likely win. Anibal is great but he's simply not on the level of Scherzer or JV. still though, Detroit's offense...
