Very observant. Way to ruin it with your 22.

The more I watch highlights of Larry Austin Jr. the more he reminds me of Stephon Marbury. Of course those can be misleading sometimes, he seems like the closest thing UT has had to him.

Hopefully DT can improve his outside shot a little bit(love all the other facets of his game so far), so he can move to the 2 some next year.

I'd say DT just needs to find confidence in his shot. It's a different world going from 'the shooter' on your High School team to being a freshmen and shooting against D1 defenses. I think he has an awesome shot, he just needs to know he makes each shot without hesitation.

Could only find stats for one game with Turman. He scored 12 points. His team - Morgan County in Madison, GA - is dominated by a 2015 PG, Tookie Brown. Brown scored 35 in Morgan County's opener. Brown took an unofficial visit to Tennessee with Turman the weekend C.J. committed.
It's probably not a good sign that it's hard to find results on a guy like this.... If he was doing well you'd think there would be articles talking about it. I haven't seen CJ play but I'm not excited that it's between him and Pops for the down low battle.

Not true. Just because stats aren't being reported means nothing. Seasons have just started for one. It was the same for AJ Davis last season. They both played in Georgia and in the same region I believe. Go watch highlights or what have you of CJ before you down play him.

Sorry I haven't seen CJ play in person, his scouting videos are weak so they must be seeing something I'm not.

We need a guy down low who can defend the rim, not only defend it but attack it and rebound well.

Turman does rebound well, which is a necessity for next year's squad. If he can help out more defensively he'll be a good addition. I like his overall motor and atleticism but he has very limited offensive game.

I understand what you are saying, but he's not going to be a 25 minute a night player.

I'm very confident the staff will pickup a grad transfer after Jarnell declares for the draft. I bet Turman gets 10-15 a night his freshman year.

Who do u have in mind? Even though we have benefited as much or more than anyone. That situation is still rare.

Probably no one in particular, there hasn't been a lot of news. Wait till the season is close to over and see if there are good transfers or JUCOs available.

Honestly, I don't know right now.

Who knew Tarik Black or Antonio Barton would be available after the season?

And you'd be surprised how many senior transfer there are now in today's game.

I bet UT finds somebody though.

There is no question he has recruited well for this year and the year before.

His first year was terrible.
Which wasn't his fault entirely... He boarded a sinking ship, while most of the prized players were signing or had already signed. Martin had to just get bodies to fill a roster.

Blaming him for his first year is ridiculous.

Unless you want to make the argument that not retaining Kevin Ware and Chris Jones Jr. was bad, which is crazy since he still recruited both.

Man, imagine if we had gotten Chris Jones.. That guy is a straight baller.
