I am glad that this kid is coming in. I think that this kid will impress on Saturday and show that he is a pure shooter. I look for CCM to possible offer him and the more camps he goes to the more offers he will garner.

I'd be surprised if he got a commitable offer at this point

At the same stage he is not quite as good a shooter as McBee nor as athletic. He has the luxury of playing on a team with 3 much better players which allows him the luxury of being a spot up shooter exclusively.
I'd say the competition Allsmiller plays is way tougher than the competition McBee played (Grainger county, really?). I never saw McBee once dunk the ball, and Allsmiler was doing that his Freshman year. Allsmiler is more athletic and a better overall player than Mcbee.

If we take him it means we struck out on everyone we wanted. Outside of being a decent spot up shooter there is nothing he brings to the table. He doesn't handle well, defend, or create. I have seen him several times the last two years and I don't see him as a high D1 player at all.

No you're right, he definitely fits the Belmont-type, but I disagree with whoever said that McBee was a better/more athletic player.

I thought it was a known fact that Bruce pearl promised Mcbee a scholly his sophomore year, he just didn't have one to give to Mcbee then. I could be pulling that out of my butt, but that's in my brain for some reason. Maybe people forget because they think he earned it in that Kansas game, I was pretty sure I heard the whole promise scholly thing before that season started.

McBee was a walk-on. This guy has SEC offers. Another lazy assumption because they're the same color.

just cause a guy is white does not mean he is a great shooter in practice but not athletic enough to play in sec .I know he was a wildcat but rex chapman could jump as high as almost anyone his size black or white. I walked on at LMU in 88-89 after the coach saw me shutting down one of the stars of the team in a 3 on 3 game and ask me to come to practice and it was great because I got to play with three of the best to ever play at LMU and nick Sanford could have played any where in the country if he was smart enough to get in .the joke on campus was the only right answer he got right on the act was his name .he scored 3700 points at lmu but getting back to white guys .we played Cumberland ky and there was a guy 2 inches shorter than me and im 5,11 and in warm ups he was amazing the crowed with dunks ,360,s,bouncing it off the floor and backboard and doing 180,s and 360,s and the same guy beat us by hitting a 3 pointer from 75 feet away. he was a great athlete for any color. but I played in games till December then did not go back to school for second semester

I'm calling BS on this like I called BS on your high school weight lifting accomplishments.

And FYI, hitting a desperation heave from 75 feet doesn't equate to being a good shooter. It's called being lucky.

Wait...is this the world record weightlifting guy who can run a 4.5 from the football forum?

The very same. I think it's a 4.6, but that's splitting hairs at this point. Recruiting forum, Greg Miclisse thread.

LMFAO that dudes a joke. With those measurable, plus apparently a stud walk on basketball player...it's a wonder he wasn't competing in the Olympics for multiple sports.

Here's the post as are referring to, pure gold:

I have ask this over and over about most recruits over the last 5 years do they ever lift weights .There has been just a handful in that time that has impressed me. Most guys I look at can barely bench more than they weigh and can not squat very much either. you would think that there would be some country strong guys or something . I did not play football after my freshmen year because it was a waste of time cause I do not like to loose and my freshmen year we lost at Webb 7-6 and lost 4 or 4 more by less than 10 and Gatlinburg Pitt beat us by 25 we won 3 games. I did not think that I was big enough to play in collage at 5"11 180 but last time I spent in weight room was beginning my senior year and I was benching 385 5 times squatting 700 coaches would not allow me to try more than that but I was leg pressing 1000 pounds and I walked around the weight room with 500 pounds for 5 minuets at a time stepping up on my tip toes. and I ran a 4.6 -4.7 40 and to see 6,5 265 pound guys benching 325 and squatting 425 is pitiful to me I could reach down and grab 300 pounds and lift it as far over my head as my arms could reach. Guys like big Dan Williams impressed me though.
