With Brian Gregory getting canned at GT have to think White opens things back up, have to wonder if Tennessee would look to get involved.

I would be really excited if we picked up Romello. Okogie might want in since we were his #2 but I think that ships done sailed since we have so many wing players.

He follows two coaches on Twitter. Capel at Duke and Lanier at UT. That may not mean anything but if he wasn't interested in UT he wouldn't follow one of our assistant coaches imo. Also a very reliable poster said we were in good shape.

Why did Romello White commit to us and why did he sign with Georgia Tech instead?

Why would he get less enamored with the campus or academic program in Atlanta?

Does anyone know if Barnes and Co are actively pursuing him? There can't be to many talented big men left at this point.He's already familiar with our facilities and arena. Go get him Rick!!

At this point he's still a GT signee, Barnes nor anyone UT affiliated can be pursuing White at this point.

I get that, as do most, but the OP was asking if Barnes is after him...could some behind the scenes contact be going on with AAU coaches or IMG's coaches, sure, but I would pretty much guarantee none of our staff has talked with White.

Agreed but it's always equally possible we are "going after him" by saying to those coaches we have a spot and want him if he gets out of his nli

Grant Williams played really well against Romello, but who don't GW play well against. Still wouldn't mind signing him if we can't get OY.

One thing to consider here is if CDT did anything whatsoever in gaining his committed before in the "grey" area then we don't want to open up that can of worms

That wouldn't surprise me at all

I also just remembered we play GT next year, likely that we are one of the restricted teams if he asks out
