“I know that Tennessee is known for its wide receivers,” Tennyson said. “They call them ‘Wide Receiver U’ and I’ve always asked the big-time recruits what they think of each program. They always tell me that ‘Tennessee is a great program, they have the best facilities and great fans.’ So I always hear great things about the Vols. A few prospects have seen it first hand and can tell me what it’s about since I haven’t been down there yet. But I plan on going down to visit in a couple of weeks to see it for myself.

Scout

Has a great relationship with Coach Z, and plans on being here this weekend.

But, of those expected in it may be worth keeping an eye on Virginia wide receiver Donaven Tennyson. He told us earlier this week his timeline is to do something within the next few weeks and wouldn't rule out doing something very soon.

He'll be visiting Virginia Tech on Friday before making his way to Knoxville for Saturday's junior day. Tennyson seems high on the Vols and Tennessee likes his speed in the slot and he's someone Zach Azzanni has put some real effort into early on.

Tennyson represents what the Vols are looking to upgrade with its receiving corp with the 2016 class and that's speed. With Tennessee struggling in the vertical passing game this past season, which wasn't all about the receivers, the staff is looking for several players that can get behind teams. It's why guys like Tennyson and fellow speedster Mecole Hard are high on the Vols' receivers board.

Will kid be making a commitment anytime soon? Seems like everyone thinks he's gonna be a vol based on the crystal ball predictions.

Would rather have Grant Holloway if we are determined to take a commitment from an unranked, slot-type WR with a questionable offer list this early.

His offer list is better than Kelly's and Bruce's combined.

I don't think we will take his commitment at the moment, but that line of thinking really doesn't apply.
